Hi just after a little pointer, I want to get over 300bhp I've got 440 injectors fmic 360lh fuel pump full decay and alcetek ecu, the question is should I fit a td05 or one of the it's. Thanks as always Neil

No mate dropped a cheap second hand engine in then spent a few quid on a new ecu, I'll start porting heads soon while I save money for bottom end and new turbo

Also check steering joints and might sound daft but when you fitted new disc did you make sure hub was clean and true

I thought the mahle pistons were forged but if not I'll go without the extra 100cc and just go for forged 2l I don't want to have to rebuild the !Removed! thing twice

Like ghost says needs code reading to be sure of fault but you could find abs and cruise control will be related as a lot use same sensor/pick up

I'd like to build it myself but being new to subaru would like some more experienced opinions on things, it's an open deck block what sort of power can it cope with? is it worth paying for forged pistons and rods, the stroker it is forged parts but for the extra cost you get crank and acl bearings .

OK weekend over and recovered from back at work and parked up with nothing to do but look at parts price, looking on the bay of fleas 2.1 stroker kits at 1500 so would like peoples opinions/experience if to buy or not Thanks

If the starter's ok take spark plugs out and see if it will turn on key

Will be having the bores checked but I work away all week and this weekend is a few beers with the boys so nothing will be done for next few weeks.

It was running nearly ok just smoked a bit compression test said was only on 3 so got a spare engine and gearbox but change of plan, just going to put new pistons and bearings in this one and maybe a tubular manifold.
