Hi just after a little pointer, I want to get over 300bhp I've got 440 injectors fmic 360lh fuel pump full decay and alcetek ecu, the question is should I fit a td05 or one of the it's.
Thanks as always Neil
No mate dropped a cheap second hand engine in then spent a few quid on a new ecu, I'll start porting heads soon while I save money for bottom end and new turbo
Don't go listening to that there tidgy he's a bad un and will lead you down an expensive roads, but it's a !Removed! fun road
He's full of info and friendly to boot
Good to meet you to, they seem good people and really know their stuff. just emailed them for some more information, well while it's in bits I may as well have a peek down cdb road
I got with out knowing about the different types was going to put it in mine but it's earlier model, guy I got it off was going to put it in a beetle think he said that came out of a 97 wagon
I have a few bits for sale that I thought I'd put here I case anyone needs them before they go on the bay, ej 20 long block, inlet manifold, td05 turbo, pas pump, top mount and a wiring loom
Thanks for looking
Neil
I thought the mahle pistons were forged but if not I'll go without the extra 100cc and just go for forged 2l I don't want to have to rebuild the !Removed! thing twice
I'd like to build it myself but being new to subaru would like some more experienced opinions on things, it's an open deck block what sort of power can it cope with? is it worth paying for forged pistons and rods, the stroker it is forged parts but for the extra cost you get crank and acl bearings .
OK weekend over and recovered from back at work and parked up with nothing to do but look at parts price, looking on the bay of fleas 2.1 stroker kits at 1500 so would like peoples opinions/experience if to buy or not
Thanks
It was running nearly ok just smoked a bit compression test said was only on 3 so got a spare engine and gearbox but change of plan, just going to put new pistons and bearings in this one and maybe a tubular manifold.
