  1. Dry cranking is advised but not essential (i take no responsibility if you try and engine gose pop though) as if your just doing a straight swap all the oil won't have worked it's way out of all the jurnals and oilways, and there should still be a film of oil on the bearings It's easy enough to pull the crank sensor off and turn the engine over a couple of times though if you want to do it, my mechanic swears by, it so i do it when i do an interim change,
  2. Probably, would benifet from a remap too as it will increase spool up time
  3. http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/index.php?/topic/12730-Classic-front-mount-intercooler just seen that yours is newage but I'm sure fitment can't be that different
  4. There's a chap selling one in the parts section at the moment
  5. I thought the smoked ones would have been a lot darker they look good, are yours clear or crystal ? The pic in your hand looks different to the one on the car,may be an illusion
  6. Thanks mate, I know the 01-02 should be ok it's the 03-04 ones that are sealed and I'd need to buy new bulb units too
  7. Haha I commend your caving efforts ! I've lost few bits at the mo in my basement doing my head in can't be far but they have just 'dissapeared'? I have orange ones at the mo sorry best pic I have without getting soaked, everything else is clear except the sides ? what year is yours ? I've been told it should be a straight swap but I'll remove mine in a bit to see, Thanks for the offer I'll PayPal something to you for postage at least.
  8. well I'm out on the tubbs run on the Sunday so I have to do parent/man duties at some point over the weekend haha. My misses has no interest in cars so would either complian all day if I brought her along or just sulk if I left her at home
  9. I'm not able to make this [emoji25] !Removed! women ! Haha
  10. Ah ok, he had one ready to Fit mine but said my 2port was working ok. I've been watching the gauge for any over boost and what not had no issues
  11. Looking for a pair of bug indicator lenses non sealed bulb type. Been told these are a fit for my sf foz
  12. May not need the 3 port, mines now boosting max at 1.1 on a two port, Duncan had it with him ready to Fit said it would have been a waste of money as everything was working ok. Just tell him what you want from the map and he'll know what you mean, is asked for a more usable powerband. I think my 380cc injectors were holding me back in the big hp gain but still convinced the roller reading is low. Gonna have it on again at a different dyno
  13. At the end of the day depo & prosport are at the budget end of the spectrum, not everyone can afford 600 for a set of defi's or greddy gauges. I bought mine on scooby pete's recommendation it's been in for nearly two years and it's not gone wrong. For the money it's bang on. What did they try and sell you ? Installation isn't that hard all you need is a multi meter and a time. A meter or so of fresh vac line will come in handy too. Crimson, how many gauges were you looking at installing & what readings ? If just boost it's easy
  14. Not entirely sure but as yours doesn't have an up/down pipe arrangement you'll need specific headers so wouldn't think the turbo headers would bolt straight up without something between them and the cat. Have a Google for n/a headers see what it brings up
  15. I found with the lance stuff it would wear off the arch within a year, plus I ended up with loads of overspray on the bits that got hot [emoji35] if I'd had more light when I'd done the work in the pics above it would have been better but I've had a look this year and it's looking ok, they reckon it lasts 5 years. Did the rear arches this year as had the shocks off anyway
  16. Hi welcome, I've always used waxoil although the that pressure sprayer is a nightmare, last couple of years I've used the rattle cans for the bits I can't get with the brush and use the waxoil/hammerite underseal in a pot. Takes longer but I find the coverage and lack of mess outweigh the extra time. This is most recent attempt
  17. What's the story with the beemer ? Looks like a fantastic result [emoji16]

Here's pic of my more 'standard' Afr Once my odb one cable has arrived from nz I'll be able to look properly at general road use, through ssm & els logging
  19. Could be idle air control valve, clutch switch or throttle position sensor. Have you run a diagnostic to see if any fault codes are being generated?
  20. Www.importcarparts.co.uk is your best bet if you can't see it on the site give them a ring as they'll either be able to get it or point you in the right direction
  21. There are two mate due to the layout of the engine, i'd do both anyway sods law says if you don't the other one will start to leak
  22. I can't get it to work properly either mate, I switch to the desktop view and upload. Normally works then

Maybe worth chucking a drop of vpower in and seeing what it throws up on your software. Are you using the free subaru select monitor software you can get on the Web?
  24. Ah ok, didn't know if yours gave you an alternative, I'm guessing it will be 205/60/16 I'm on a 16" rim and mine is basically a classic with more ground clearance
