No minimum post required, does it sound worse when cold ? The tapping could be the injectors you can here the do make a loud clicking sound

No gearbox oil?
Many of us are over 100k with the standard box and people put up to 350 though a 5 speed. I can't see it being totally empty as it would have got hot plus it contains the front diff

Notice you have a v1/2 with the slanty cooler, I have a v3/4 cooler sat in my man cave fairly easy uprate/mod if your interested [emoji51]

Early Forester Turbo
Hi mate, good news about the job, if it's a UK car it will more than likely have a tf03 turbo on, imports have a larger td04 on Pic for comparison It's a mitsibushi unit so there should be plenty of them around, I believe volvo used them for a while on certian models, They are oil and water fed so would be easier to find one that has the same kind of set up saves blanking bits off, In theory pretty much anything will bolt up with some modifications to the hot or cold sides. A td04 or 05 would give you loads more oomph but to get the best out of it it would need mapping in

Nut tightening values ? 88-98mn if I remember correctly. Don't hole me to it. But I do mine up to around 90 and i've not had a wheel fall off yet [emoji3]

Gonna hurt if she gets her nips caught in the buckles ! I think they are quite literally !Removed! 17 million cars in the states alone potentially need recalling. Takata have a plant in Mexico so I'm not sure if it mainly effects usdm more than any other market

Fan working?
Yes mate as you look at the car the right side is for the rad and the left fan is a/c. Non equipped cars only have one fan on the left, people do mod it so the can use both for cooling, not really worth it unless your in Africa

Not sure if many of you have seen this ? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-32840813 It's extended to subaru in the US so may be worth having an investagate if anyone's concerned

If it's got a factory fitted alarm it should have a little keypad located somewhere near the door, maybe in the drop down coin holder or in centre console arm rest
