  1. I'd go back to the original colour it will be worth more in the end, people are always wary of colour changes. Depends where you go I've a mate who will do a same colour respray for 600 I presume that's mates rates as your normally looking in the 2-3k bracket
  2. I reckon people don't get as dirty, no real manufacturin/heavy industry these days , and people wear ppe more, I grew up with having pots of the green stuff in the house due to my dad, i have a big 1kg tub under the sink but it will last me a good couple of years, Now a days there are a lot of other brands available, we got loads of loctite hand cleaner free from various reps at work etc. I'm not nocking the brand or owt, just don't know how well received tee's would be
  3. Yes it's a right pain having to take it apart once every six months to re solder the connections. Thanks for getting back to me
  4. Just keep an eye out as there are still a few unmolested cars or tastefully modded ones that are going for reasonable money, you see one owner cars that some chap has had for all it's life fsh etc and wants it to go to a good home just a case of being patient and biding your time, unfortunately there are more abused ones than anything knocking around, I got lucky one owner since importation for a straight swop for my old car. I wouldn't call mine a build thread more of an 'improving/refreshing old bits thanks for the comments though
  5. Just out of interest does it have the square digital clock in the headliner ? If so is it still working & how much would you be looking for ? Fixed mine about three times and I think it's finally given up
  6. I'm with dave on this, most people wouldn't have a clue what it is now that hardly anyone actually gets their hands dirty for a living these days
  7. http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/index.php?/topic/9893-JapShow-2015---Sunday-5th-July
  8. Hi & welcome sorry to here you have the glow plug problem, I thought they had rectified it on the newer diesel engines, it's a well documented problem so don't let them pull the wool over your eyes
  9. Not at all mate, post up in regional section
  10. We've a stand at japshow on 5th of July if your interested? Least you know it's going to be right for summer better than driving it when she's sick
  11. Plenty of time for that, not sure how many members we have in Notts, where roughly abouts are you I used to live in Radcliffe years back
  12. Looks nice mate, [emoji106] I'm sure when the teething issues have been ironed out it will bring big smiles out.
  13. Ah gutted mate, if you need anything I'm sure we'll be able to help/point you in right direction, What was the bill for ? Get some pictures up of her
  14. Least you won't have to battle with the oem heatshield, I'll let rick answer that as I've not really had a poke around
  15. Popped onto uk foz today, not as busy as here but still a wealth of knowledge,
  16. Do you have aftermarket exhaust or still standard downpipe with heatshield attached ?
  17. Well my97 facelift dash is, but I have a drop down holder, maybe send savage bulldogs a pm as he has an early classic
  18. No idea ricks your best bet as I've not taken mine apart yet, I guess if you take the turbo off it will make things easier but I presume it can be done in situ ?
  19. By your right knee, if you have the coin holder pull it out and it's located there, if not poke a torch up underneath before taking the dash apart
  20. There's these http://www.gradea-subaru.co.uk/ Or http://www.subaru-spares.co.uk/ May be able to help
  21. Did you check both fuse boxes ? Failing that it's a case of chasing the wiring back through the loom
  22. Go to the relevent section and tap the three white dots on the top right, should say 'new topic"
