  1. Ah ok, maybe get a quote from your local powerflow franchise they seem to do good stuff at reasonable prices, it's personal preference really loads of options on look sound etc
  2. I'd start by changing the backbox then if it's still not to your liking you can always change the middle section at a later date
  3. Depends which one you have to start with? Some are a drop in element with two screws and others are the whole maf housing which bolts onto the airbox. Neither are that hard but just need to be careful you don't drop or damage it
  4. To be honest I think all foz's are a pain to keep clean, something to do with the airflow from the front arch to the back. Even after a 5 min drive in mildly wet conditions and mines filthy again [emoji35] I'd look at investing in a set of mudflaps they help a little
  5. Now not moving house as the one we wanted has gone. So I'll speak to misses and get back to everyone
  6. What are you after, more sound or better performance ? You won't get the boxer burble as yours will have even length headers so unless you change them your stuck with the sound you have, you can change from the cat back for a stainelss system will make it a bit louder
  7. Do you have the plastic undertray on beneath the engine ? If the sump had lost it's oil chances are it will be all over that, another thing is to check the filter's on properly and it hasn't been punctured.
  8. Welcome good work on persuading the misses, to be fair they are practical loads of boot space and a good alweather car Yeah I'd call 100k just run in [emoji16] loads of us are well past that mark.
  9. Hi mate welcome does look nice,
  10. I wouldn't call skeggy the sea side haha Whitby always good plus nice drive over the n York moors. Put me down as a maybe, the misses has decided she wants to move house so I have no idea when it will be going ahead but it's imminent
  11. Winter tyres have a different compound makeup, has more silica in I think to stop them doing hard in low temp conditions. Summer tyres are designed to work at +7° and above so they are made out of less silica. That's why if you use winters all year round you get high ware as the tread pattern is more squishy. M&s or all season tyres have a little bit more silica in but will still go hard in cold conditions
  12. I think it's in the intake to solinoid pipe for yours
  13. basic pic but it should be in the righthand side of the mall vac pipe going into tee piece
  14. Haha I don't usually bother cleaning metal bits & engine bay but am finding it quite therapeutic
  15. Caught sav's ocd found some metal polish in the cave and began to polish me bits [emoji16]
  16. Do you have a two or three port solinoid ? The pill on a two port lives inbetween the small turbo outlet Nipple and the tee piece. By all accounts the restrictor on 3 port systems is located in the line coming out of the bottom of the solinoid, Somone could have changed the pill to give more boost or it could be clogged up. I'll pop a pic up shortly of location if you want ?
  17. Don't bother to start it, once you've plugged them in just turn the key to the 2nd 'on' position you'll here the fans and relays cycle through the self test sequence. I did mine not long back and the sound of the clicking it makes was a lot quieter after i'd cleaned it.
  18. I fear matt's method of cleaning may be a little extreme, Plug in both sets of the diagnostic wires. Open bonnet remove hoses from top and bottom of boost solinoid spray brake cleaner into top hole and let it come out the bottom, keep spraying for ages and a rag is handy to catch all the **** that comes out the bottom. Re assemble and start car,
  19. Very nice [emoji16]
  20. That on a 'k' reg ? There's two near me found one today stripped out and caged and a green one somewhere I'll get some snaps
  21. Yeah I'm working on sweetning up the misses already put it in calender too, i'm not on fb which way are they running it from ? If the Wales thing had been more in advance I'd have come,
  22. Ah ok to be fair I only use the sponge for about twenty seconds, rest is tfr rinse foam etc You off on the tubbs run nick ?
