  1. What's the plan then batman ? I'll go anywhere to be honest
  2. Hi mate,i'd get it done ASAP once every 4 years or 45k Best off replacing the idlers and pulleys if they haven't been done in the last change too
  3. You'll have to excuse the randomness that goes on mid topic half the time but this is one of the most laid back and easy going forums I've been on. No question too daft or request far fetched !
  4. Hi mate welcome, nice figures there, feel free to have a poke round the forum and get stuck in [emoji16]
  5. Go for the subaru, don't have to service it as much and more fun with a manual box
  6. Chinese hoses have a tendancy to suck flat under hard driving and what not due to the inferior construction of the hose walls, you want 3 ply at the bare minimum, 5ply is best. Might be worth giving viper a call as they are always expanding the range and may be interested in using you car as a test bed for new kit. I'm my opinion I'd stick with the standard air box and uprated drop in filter, like you say the standard box is good for 350. And driving in a lot of stop start traffic you'll end up with a load of heatsoak into the cone filter, Unless you did it properly and got one that removes it and the resonator and relocates they filter into the inner wing.
  7. Hi sorry to hear about the clutch problems, we had another member last week that thought his was slipping, garage advised him to do some full bore 3000rpm launches (when warm) to just clean the bits of rubbish collected on the flywheel. . As for the flywheel I shouldn't think it needs changing maybe skimming at the worst. Not sure about newage cars but the classics tend to need it when changing the clutch due to suffering from clutch judder. As for pricing I guess it depends on what kind of mark up they want to put on the kit etc.
  8. You can get forge ones for the 3/4 recirc type that sit in the elbow on the left of the cooler don't think they make a sound though. Not entirely sure how you'd go about changing to a vta type on that engine
  9. Yeah I think if they live upto thw hype I may invest in some as I don't really push her super hard
  10. Hi, I have no Idea about the head unit as mine's an older model, however the speakers in all subaru's are rubbish. An most of us have upgraded the factory speakers. This time I just went for a cheap setup from halfords some 6" for the front and 4.5" in the rear I left the tweeters alone but the need doing at some point.
  11. I've just ordered some from viper performance, based in Telford they normally make big batches so it brings the price down and 95% of the time they have stock. Samco are usually made to order so you can be waiting up to 8weeks [emoji35]
  12. It was just a bit too short notice for me I'd have loved to have gone
  13. Have a look on the go pro site, they do that there, off the top of my head it's better frame rate removable battery better in low light and more megaphones. Plus you get more in the box
  14. Rules me out then, Well done for rasing that much [emoji16] I'm struggling to get the time off work to attend cos the rest of my colleagues are selfish ***** and won't change days off. May just disappear for a couple of hours and turn up in me van
  15. I'll throw this article into the mix, may be worth investagating http://www.pistonheads.com/news/general-pistonheads/michelin-ends-winter-tyres-debate/31793
  16. Hmm may move this into general meets section, was only expecting a response from my fellow Yorkshire men/women ☺
  17. Should normally say in product description.
  18. Here's UK performances site for reference http://www.cobrasport.com/index.php/cobra-sport-exhaust/subaru/impreza/subaru-impreza-sport.html
  19. As I have to book my time about 8 months in advance I thought I'd ask who's thinking of going where this year so I can plan ahead. So far I'm confirmed for jap show at pod on the 5th July Hoping to get make a weekend of it and get to cadwell on the 25th and do the buttertubs run on the 26th of April. Fingers crossed (will know this eve I'm successful)
  20. Nick, gopro hero 3 is £169.00 from various retailers,
  21. Also had a mail from these today, this looks reasonable with 50 quid off http://www.snooper.co.uk/drive-vehicle-recorders/dvr/snooper-dvr-1hd-mini.html?utm_campaign=Mother%27s+Day+2015&utm_source=emailCampaign&utm_medium=email&utm_content=
  22. I was looking at this one to mate, am swaying towards the 180 quid one instead has a lot more features,
  23. Yeah I just didn't know how it worked weather coolant was in the turbo at all times and moved round when warm or it was forced though when things warmed up. There is only one line into it I presume ?
  24. I'd check which one it is as they range from a ton to nearly 400. If your looking to modify you may be able to have it mapped out. Not to sure on new age cars if it's possible
