  3. Looks like a good result mate
  4. I now have a bitwriter for reading and changing settings on DEI alarms, They appear to be like rocking horse poo so if you need anything doing or know someone who needs access to one let me know.
  5. Even if it's a new sponge every time ? And never actually touches the bucket ? My paintwork 's not the best anyway. Isn't the idea of shop to hold dirt particles in suspension in the Water,
  6. Chap down in Sheffield who's just broken his 500bhp monster of a classic [emoji25]
  7. Never understood the two bucket method, do you alternate between bucket while sponge dipping ?
  8. Hello welcome, feel free to get stuck in and more importantly get some pics up [emoji3]
  9. Hello welcome, nice foz has it been put on smaller rims ?
  10. Cheers mate, unfortunately I won't be going this year, family holiday clashes with it [emoji25] I'll be down at the Sheffield monthly meets and at jap show
  11. It had ridden up a little so I presume it's just worked loose either when I fitted the blanket or changed the coolant, thought there could have been a blockage hence why I want to take it off, just seems strange/ coincidental it's happened since the rad change. Am I right in thinking that the water is only fed into the turbo when running and it's not primed all the time ?
  12. Noticed the other day a smell of hot coolant, didn't think much of it as I spilt a bit on to of the block the other week and presumed it was still evaporating. Had a check yesterday and found this Don't think it's owt to do with the different coolant looks like the line had been disturbed. So cleaned it up and re seated it. Nothing has leaked since, if I remove the pipe from the turbo end to take a look for blockages is there anything I should be aware of ? Will it let much air into system
  13. Obviously changing that lot you'll need to drain all the coolant & refill which is bit time consuming. I'd maybe get the hoses and wait till it needs servicing. Also watch out for cheap Chinese silicone hoses on ebay.
  14. Looks like it's either an aftermarket boost controller or a part of the boost solinoid but looks the wrong shape. Top port should go towards turbo and bottom hose goes to the intake I think. Do you have a bigger picture showing the surrounding gubbins ? Edit.. Just found this pic of mine Boost solinoid in bottom of pic with round top and underneath is a denso unit that the pipe from the manifold runs from
  15. Thought I'd get cracking with sorting out my new alarm fob, armed with my newly aquired bitwriter i set about taking the centre console apart to work out where it plugs into the alarms brain After I'd got this far I found out there was already the communications interface attached left by alarm installer, chased it back to it's hidden location. Put the centre console back together. Plugged in and programmed fob. Programming took all of 5 mins and an official dealer wanted 75 notes robbing gits !
  16. Hi mate welcome, sounds like your going down all the avenues I'd be looking at to rectify the problem, i'd guess at the coils maybe with them being stone cold there's a break or back connection and once up to temp somethings expanded or warmed enough for it not to be an issue ? Just clutching at straws really. Have you checked the idle control valve ?
  17. Hi mate welcome and feel free to get stuck in we're all friendly here
  18. Hahaha, brilliant, saw that yesterday matt, then went to pub ? Also saw that chap in the news that tried to smash the window of the mrec with a brick and the rebound ko'd him
  19. If anyone ever bumps into me ask me about a chap I used to share a house with. After living with him for 12 months he'd acquired the alias of Britain's dumbest criminal. Took daftness to a whole new level
  20. Could always look up what kind of geo other owners have used on hunter setups and ask for them to be applied if it suits your style of driving, I got a setup from Tony at wheels in motion for my mx5 that a company in Huddersfield applied on their hunter.
  21. Haha genius !
  22. I could be up for it, won't be driving up to York to meet everyone though may just see if anyone fancies meeting in Hawes as I'll take the back road from ilkley it's quieter and more fun.
  23. Ah I see, are you not just going to get fully comp cover on the scoob or is it being taken off the road when it's back from sc ?
  24. What do you need it for ?
