  1. Knobber not only is he putting his life at risk but ever other road user and pedestrian. He could get a ditch finder for 15 quid save himself the hassle of 3 points sixty quid and his conscience. If he's chewing through the tyre like that I'd be concerned about alignment or inflation issues. Take it he doesn't care about cars ?
  2. I like the pod thinking of changing mine, depends though. Yeah 0.75 bar sounds ok got to factor in for a little bit of gauge error and that. There's a sticky in the impreza section that tells you what model should have what boost
  3. Car looks totally different now gambit, you got that on back and the new front end & moretes on now ?
  4. I've seen 10" on a classic with arch extensions mind you. May get away with 8+ if you rolled them, not sure what the handling will be like though
  5. Mounts and bar went on last night and sorted had a bit of a battle as the previous owner had a tow bar fitted, i'd removed the bar and hitch but never the hangers, which fouled the space where the new mounts sit, so removed one side ok, new mount sits so close to the fuel filler ! N/s was a pain as the exhaust hanger was bent back to fit the bar, and new back box was mounted to the bar hanger, ended up shaving a bit off the corner of the new mount base, finally got all in then spent over an hour tyring to align the bar and droplinks, Not sure if the bush bracket bolt has gone in cross threaded as it looks a bit wonky must have tried to get it flush for 15-20 mins , nut it's up tight and i've done a few miles all seems ok and the improvment is noticable during normal driving ,
  6. 2nd the rcm such a unit well packaged and a doddle to fit. Get a tank gasket just to be on the safe side
  7. For the sake of 400 quid I'd say go for it,your only young once and petrol won't be round forever
  8. 2.0 l stronger engine, early 2.5's suffered from some issues, probably uses a tiny bit less fuel. 2.5 more torque ,
  9. Whey ! Every cloud and all that least your back up running and smiling at the end of the day things always work out in the end [emoji3]
  10. You'd will be slightly different lay out wise but see if you have the pipe coming out there I teed into it and all is fine
  11. Have a look at your manifold, there should be at least two pipes on the right I'll post up a pic in a min
  12. Proper ball ache! Shaved the corner of the new mount so hopefully will fit now
  13. Not really as long as it's been cared for and serviced regularly
  14. Cos worth for me as I didn't go maf less. So wanted oil free, you'll have so much more noise from turbo when decatting anyway [emoji16]
  15. Ooooh it's tight new bracket is so close to fuel filler neck [emoji15] To make matters worse the other side will need some modification where the previous owners towbar mounts are, removed the righthand side, thought I'll do the same on the left, No joy as the exhaust hangers now slot into the towbar bracket, so I either remove back box hanger, cut to mount down then put all together or I shave a couple mm off the end of new mount. Think I'll go with plan b
  16. Agreed I'm looking for a set of xv wheels for mine although I refuse to pay top wack, trouble is with so few around there aren't any getting written off
  17. Went into work early to make a start on changing arb & mounts, realised fuel filler pipe in way gave up until this evening haha
  18. Hello sorry to here that grr makes my blood boil. From what I've read UK spec classic impreza electric mirrors fit. There's also a breaker www.japperformanceparts.co.uk they may have some available
  19. Hi mate welcome looks nice, There's a monthly meet down at Sheffield subaru services, round the corner from medowhall. They'll be getting going again now the nights are getting longer
  20. To be honest I'm not sure about garages in leeds I take mine to an independent subaru garage in Sheffield. There's a place in Bradford called Richard Henry motorsprt that is a subaru specialist also. May be worth posting in the general section for help and garage advice as more people generally tend to browse there
  21. Hello sorry to here your troubles, 400 to clean the sensor is a bit steep, a new one should cost that much in the 1st place, best trying to source parts outside the dealer network www.importcarparts.co.uk is good and fairly close to you. There seems to be a lot of differing info regarding the code, normally the downstream sensor located behind the cat is the culprit, Have a look here for a bit more info http://www.subaruforester.org/vbulletin/f66/po420-cel-code-catalyst-system-efficiency-below-threshold-26140/#/forumsite/20556/topics/26140
  22. Hello, welcome you have a few options really, rebuild the engine 2k ish buy a new short block around the same cost, or go the whole hog and swap out a new long motor, all depends on how much you want to do to it and what kind of power your after, the rest of it should be fairly straightforward
  23. These have just arrived [emoji16] Considering I wasn't expecting them until the end of march I'm a happy bunny
  24. Yeah it will be correct import car parts know their onions For reference this is what's in mine at the moment http://www.scoobyworld.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=184&products_id=3330
