  1. Hello & welcome, sorry to hear about your problems, it does seem steep to say the least ! You'd have expected them to change the lot at the same time if they know about the fault. There's not many diesel owners here but I'm sure someone will be able to help you out. And no need to apologise feel free to have a lok around and get involved we're all friendly bunch and beleive me no question is too trivial :-D
  2. Interesting news on the 9 pin adaptor, I take it being a garage you have an all singing all dancing diagnostic package, As a long shot bases on your findings I've just ordered a subaru 9 to 16 pin adaptor from the bay if it doesn't work with the cheap softwarer I have then no loss if it does, opens up a whole new avenue for classic owners. Thanks :-D
  3. Why not mate it's your car and will good to see, yes theres a build section which you can post everything up in there along with the pics :-D
  4. Went to drive home from work started up to this. Need to decide which one's lying , Fuel gauge roulette here I come !
  5. If it's had the airfilter and decat and no remap thas maybe why it's spiking. Could be the wastegate acutator thats sticking too. Fingers crossed it's an easy fix. Have you a boost gauge fitted ? Easy way to monitor whats happening
  6. Could be mate, somone else had the same problem on a hatch the other week. Has it been remaped at any point ?
  7. When you get the the fine grit stage tell her you need a womans touch as yours is too heavy wouldn'twant to damage all your hard work. Then leg it :-D
  8. Jonny, I feel your pain did a set of split rims once all in took nearly three days a wheel, never again im with gambit in paying for someone else to do them next next, still they do look good
  9. Ssshhh you'll spoil it for NBO. Just out of interest, Wheres the resistor located ?
  10. How much do you want to spend ? Normally fuel pump, injectors, turbo, map, Other things to take into consideration how much power do you want? Front mount intercooler, needed for more than 300bhp. More than 350 new box/clutch, bigger brakes etc the list is endless
  11. You paying for the code to be read mate ? I've a code reader you can borrow if you have an android phone ? Could be something simple like a sensor tripping the car into safe mode. Without the diagnostic I wouldn't like to say though
  12. MrB, know sadly a set of nice bbs will be way out of my price range, plus buying 2nd hand you never know how genuine they are so many copies around, my mate has a set on his golf and they look really good to be fair, Always liked the tsw's take me back to my youth haha,

  16. Should put a disclaimer on the end of my posts :-D
  17. Flea bay listing 281362675824 :-D Some knobber wants 350 for a set like mine ! 15 year old rims I think not. Gotta love the jdm tax !
  18. Hi mate, Not gonna help much if you don't have tge book, but it's supposed to be in the alarm operating manual, I've heard that subaru dealers should have a record of the code too. Not to sure how true this is but may be worth giving your local dealer a bell
  19. Very odd ! If it's a three wire maf surely 2 are for current and one's a ground, how many wires coming iut of the loom, maybe it's an aftermarket maf and it's been altered to fit, Sent from my SM-T210
  20. Are there any other stickers on the maf housing ? Normally it's a rectangular sticker on the side of the square bit on top. Will be green, red or yellow orange or purple
  21. Normally when the plug is pulled and a stall occurs this means it's working, it's not the best test but it gives an indication, Standard exhaust there's one just behind the turbo and another one underneath the car in the 2nd section, the milage is nothing for these if they have been looked after [emoji3] Sent from my SM-T210
  22. If it's been decatted and had a different filter should have had a remap, I'd pop in a standard paper filter in and give it a service, see how it goes, then try replacement maf, what colour sticker si on the maf housing ? Sent from my SM-T210
  23. I was posting on my phone at the time, photobucket mobile no work, so switched to tablet should work now [emoji16] Sent from my SM-T210
  24. I'd put a pic up of mine but photobucket appears to have fallen over with the latest update grrr
