Possible issue with hks ssqv?
Don't worry about the gauge at idle, shows no boost, should be just sat in the negative section of the display, even when driving gently under small load the gauge will read between 0 and a minus figure when you come off the gas, it won't start showing boost till it reaches a designated point, usually anywhere betweek 2.5k and 3k depending on car size of turbo mods etc, gambit should be able to tell you roughly where your model starts too come on, If you have a leak it won't hold boost at a steady pressure, you'd see it on the gauge by it not rising properly when giving it some welly, would probibaly get to a certian figure (we'll call it 0.5) then drop a bit and try again, if you have a leak chances are the cel light would indicate a problem, and put he car into safe mode before you did anything to destroy the car, Could always get a odb reader and some software for your phone to check Sent from my SM-T210

Possible issue with hks ssqv?
Hi mate, some gauges are electronic and some mechanical, electronic boost gauges have a vacuum line coming off the engine that then goes into a little box converts it into an electrical signal so all you have going into your gauge is a load of electrical wires, mechanical ones will have the vacuum line running all the way from engine to the gauge and maybe some electrical stuff if it illuminates at night Sent from my SM-T210

Possible issue with hks ssqv?
If it was leaking boost pressure you'd see it when you put your foot down, when it's sat at idle it's under a vacuum if it fluctuates a couple of points I wouldn't worry too much mine normally sits at -7 but after a hard drive will show 8 maybe 9. You have to take into account the atmospheric conditions outside, air density etc, is that one a mechanical gauge ? Sent from my SM-T210

Test fitting Legacy MESH Grille
Haha, ill see if I can either find what I had left and you can have it or find a pic of something similar. Imagine taking the flex of a plug and cutting down one side and removing the innards, what you have left is a hollow u shape flexable peice of rubber. Sorry for the random description but I couldn't describe it any other way

Test fitting Legacy MESH Grille
Hi mate I had a similar problem with a grill I installed on another car, Managed to get hold of some rubber edging that finished it off nicely prevented the bottom from scratching anything and held it's self in place.

Northern Big One
No idea I'd get more info if I smashed me head against a wall than the info on their website. Facebook page isn't much better unless I'm looking at the wrong one ? If we all arrive en mass at ten and hope for the best ! I'll aim to be at le rendezvous for half 8. That gives people time to arrive get fuel food then amble up. I'm assuming there will be loads of other cars going that way

I'd loosely use the word food around mac dees. :O If it had been a saturday we'd have had loads of nicer options, still at least the roads should be quiet, gaulson's got the best approach along the A59 from skipton, good twisty road :-D So if event starts at ten what times everyone comfortable with meeting up ?

Right easiest place to meet woulf be maccy d's / morrisons car park on the a61 at quarry moor Hg4 2sd plenty of places to park up and its relatively easy to reach, david I hope you don't mind going back on yourself for a couple of miles ? It's only a 6 miles via the rippon bypass to lightwater valley. Gaulson if you want me to meet you off the a59 let me know as I'll be passing anwyay. How does this sound chaps ? Let us know then I'll start a new thread with details so it won't get lost :-)

Hello from Manchester
As long as they are looked after you can see big mileages on them. Main difference between the jdm & euro spec cars is turbos and compression ratios, There should be nowt to stop you bolting on a tdo4 or 5, 260bhp from an 04 should be achievable and 300bhp from the larger one. The thing stopping you from going higher would be the intercooler, no idea if the foz would take a front mount, never looked into it. Costs begin to get a bit silly then though, Turbo, exhaust, map, brakes, fuel pump into best part of 2k already
