  1. Hopefully didn't have half the tools needed at work so i spent 3/4 of an hour with a 12mm spanner undoing and tightening back up as couldn't be arsed with a 15 mile round trip to get a socket ! I just did everything up tight by hand, couldn't find any specific torque values for it and the top mounts wern't murdered up anyway
  2. Hi mate thanks for the info, just to let you know it's a perfect fit :-) The servo pipe just nestles underneath
  3. Doimng it as we speak master cylinder stopper strut brace ordered so far haha
  4. Yep although that can wait a little while can't really explain to the misses why theres a big chunk of cash from the savings gone. Same kind of thing with yours emmissions wise. ;-) Show'd how inefficent the cats are still ill get some prices together and spek the the holder of the purse strings There was a bit of history with mine but you never know just glad it was 50 bits could have been worse
  5. Passed ! More than happy considering i've only had her 5 months and dinn't know how it was history wise. Slight issue with emmissions but sorted will need cats/exhaust but i already knew this. Time to spend some money now :-D
  6. Location, Leeds Car Forester s/tb Mods: None yet
  7. i'm easy would need a week or so's notice though
  8. what alarm do you have installed ? this may help http://www.scoobypedia.co.uk/uploads/Knowledge/sigma_m30_manual.pdf
  9. It's 4 sorry couldn't rememberof the top of me head. Valet switch for alarm nearest steering wheel, front fogs then rear fog conversion
  10. Do you have a bank of three switches/blanking plates to the right of the steering wheel half way down the dash ? May be worth checking if the wiring harness is already there. My factory fogs are there along with the rear for addition for uk m.o.t
  11. Gimp would be more in keeping with the s& m theme you hold so close to your heart :-D
  12. Haha stupid phone ! More interweb fishing is that its a td04L we shall see later. I'm not gonna pull everything apart tonight m.o.t 1st thing thurs. Still doesn't help kev lol
  13. When i get home i'm gonna have a poke around me turbo. Ten quid says the info i need is on the bottom or back where you can't see it any way.
  14. Am i right in thinking there should be a build plaque on the side of the trubo somewhere denoting what it is ? I dunno what i've got in regards to the last letters no low down grunt for me mine starts to build around 2.7k then goes mental around 3-4k. Under normal town driving it never boosts. Only when driving like an idiot or over 80 on the m/way :-D
  15. Hello, Name wise bug, hawk blob classic refer to the year model of the impreza due to the shap of the front lights, being forester owners ours arent as exciting as that. Mines a 97 sf meaning first generation, yours being a 04 car is an sg (second generation) this is the prefix you'll find on the vin and build plaque under the bonnet. And the wind deflectors won't stop the rain coming in i'm afraid, mine are about as usefull as a chocolate tea pot.
  16. Dead battery in car ? Not much help i know clutching at straws. What alarm do you have installed ? I take it you've tried to use the key in the lock to unlock door ?
  17. Haha i can imagine, they'll never cross over into the flatlands of lincs, scary in its self ! Forgot to add i pulled it off a yank site so could be different for euro spec
  18. I wouldn't take it as gospel though, i've only robbed someone elses work which could be way out. It is the internet after all :-D
  19. Stolen from else where on the interwebs. 'Ok gonna clarify 96 did NOT use a VF 22 till after September when the Ver 3 came out with the EJ20k. The Version 2 still had a TD05Turbo and the only difference really between it and a Reg WRX was the ECU. To top it off the WRX came with the 22 while the STi came with the 23 hence alot of STi whooping going on. Also NO GC8 came with a TD04 the GFs did but not the GCs'
  20. if it helps my 97 foz has a td04 as standard
  21. Yeah i was told you have to drop the engine mounts or something along the lines to get at them ? When i had it serviced they told me that the rear two plugs hadn't been changed for a while looking at how worn the previous mechanic couldn't be arsed
  22. forgot to add, the ht leads are as old as the car so was gonna change them too, i know that the rear plugs are a pain to change, is this the same with the leads or is there enough clearance to get them out and in again without having to take it all to bits
  23. i'm due a long service award from work at the beginning of next year so if the misses doesn't suggest a holiday i'm gonna spend it on the car trying to work out budget and bits so at least i have a plan, one of the 1st things is a new exhaust, not looking for any massive power gains as i presume i'll need a piggyback ecu and map to go with it, i just want it to sound more like a flat 4 if i go from the cat back will it be much of an increase in sound ? if i decide to delete the 2nd cat will i have problems with the lambda sensor or is it below the 1st cat ? how much will the two options muck up the fueling ?
  24. We should all throw a tenner in ! Club project. How many members do we have ? Lol could be a pool car. To be fair if i haddn't managed to do a straight swop for what i have got now would have taken a punt on something like this. Who dares wins rodders !
