  1. Does sound odd, i'd get some silica gell or a damp trap form asda and stick it in, have you had a look in the wheel well ? On wagons it usually creeps in and pools there
  2. Ticking could be the injectors, they are quite noisy, as for the other issues I can't really help i'm afraid
  3. Hello & welcome,There's some well documented problems with the early diesel, dpf and glow plugs seem to cause issues, I suspect if your doing big mileages the dpf won't be a worry but I'd check if the plugs have been changed
  4. Needs 240v so can't be bothered getting an inverter etc, mine slaps so badly when cold, it's just to help the old girl out of bed in the morning, should be here today or tomorrow so I'll give it a bash when I have some free time, once we've moved into the new house I'll be looking at putting a garage up anyway
  5. Do you mean external molding or internal ? As for the glass i'd pay an auto window fitter to remove & re install it for you they are a ball ache to remove last thing you want is to damage the glass
  6. Depends, I went down new shocks and springs as the reviews for the bc's were mixed, some people say the top mounts fail quickly and the ride is crashy, others don't have a problem, is its my daily I decided against the coils. Have a look at various brands, the tein ones are supposed to be good on our roads, http://www.tein.co.uk/product/index.html Also scooby parts do a brand that's isn't bc which are supposed to be better
  7. Hello & welcome feel free to browse and get involved [emoji1]
  8. How big's the sub ? [emoji13] i ended up with a small under seat as would look lost in my boot
  9. Sorry mate been moving house, sounds like conflicting map /software, do you have twin maps ? In my experience the only time it tries to swap maps is when it looses power from the battery or immobiliser kicks in, Not familiar with the rom raider i'm afraid
  10. I got some of them in too mate, deffo lacking in the bass dept not just your ears, if it's anything like mine, you've removed a mid/low range speaker in the bottom and replaced it with a 3way. Small sub is the way to go
  11. Never seen anything like that before. Slightly confused about how this would work day to day in terms of resticking it? Looks hard wired. I may be thinking all wrong though? Geoff It's gonna stick onto the underside of the sump and it needs a 3 pin plug wiring on, so the idea is to route it up and tuck it away so on a night I can reach up connect to mains go to bed the timer will come on and heat up at before I fire it up on a morning, All I need is a note on the dash to stop me driving off on a morning with it still plugged in
  12. Hello &welcome, have a look at savages thread with regards to the engine rebuild, if your welding the spanners then 2k for a complete overhaul of the bottom end, machine work, rods bearings gaskets etc etc Any of the major places are good import car parts are good for oem bits, as for other stuff,AS performance, lateral performance Roger Clark etc
  13. I'm on black Diamond pads and oem discs at the mo, great pad low dust, I'll be going to thier discs too when the time come
  14. Moved house so no garage at the mo treated her to this http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=361273160243&alt=web So at least i won't have to sit on drive warming up for long now And ordered some fuel/oil hose and a couple of blanking plugs to be able to install the catch can
  15. http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/index.php?/topic/16744-THE-TYRE-THREAD-!
  16. Not strictly true, my good years have fairly good dry grip and phenomenal wet grip but I'm getting more mpg and less noise out of this set
  17. At the end of the day if you ask for a decent all round map you should see safe all gains, hp & torque can be extracted plus better mpg you'll not be over stressing anything if it's mapped by a good tuner, The early cars suffered form leaning off under high boost, was addressed in a recall I think
  18. If Harris his a part of it I hope his segments are along the lines of his YT channel,
  19. There should be a double din slot there once you remove what ever 's there at the mo, should just be a case of maybe buying a new cage and facia,
  20. Good idea, hadn't thought of that need to dig it out of storage as move been deleted by two weeks [emoji35]
  21. If it cuts out when you unplug the maf that's generally a good thing, it's when it runs unplugged there could be an issue
  22. I'm there for a wedding, been moved at short notice so I'm on the 02.00 sat morning ferry and coming back Sunday evening , may get a lap of the course in if I'm lucky on way back to ferry
  23. Saw another thread that said those three are going to be the top of the pyramid and there's going to be more regular contributors, sabine schmitz & chris Harris have been seen in production meetings by all accounts
