  1. Seeing as the local meets have all but stopped due to the shorter nights, and the new leeds one isn't up and running yet, been speaking to ash about another 'day out' . So provisionally: what do people think about a run out to the dales ? I've a couple of routes in my head and will post up directions in a bit, but the loose idea is meet up, drive to a nice pub for lunch then drive around some more ?
  2. He uses a few recognised places taht have dyno or if you live miles away they will 'live road map' it
  3. Funnily enough yeah !
  4. Noticed a split in cv boot this morning booo
  5. Aww boo ! Anyway good luck with sale the gem
  6. One main thing to consider is I take it you have the 4pots on as standard and are the oem 16" the ones that clear the calipers or a set you've picked up ? If the latter you may have clearence issues
  7. Was gonna say clives your man, right on cue [emoji106] Don't suppose you've a pic of the top of your block to hand Clive ? In my opinion 500 bhp is a comfortable ceiling for a daily driver/road based machine otherwise you'll be in danger of loosing your licence ever time you go out, I imagine it would be a little Lagg to say the least them all hell is gonna break loose before you know it you'll be into three figures
  8. If you have a look between the alternator and the top of the block it will have some hatch markings on it I'll try to dig out a pic, I presume if it's already running that power it should be or at least pinned. I presume the rebore has taken the capacity beyond the standard 2l ?
  9. Hi makes sense, Do you have any dyno graphs of what it's putting out at the mo ? I presume it's a closed deck block ?
  10. Should be fine depending on location of 02 sensors, just make sure you get a decat pipe with the boss in for the sensor
  11. Usually cosmetic clues give an import away but it's not always the case
  12. http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/index.php?/topic/3286-Model-Codes-for-JDM-and-UK
  13. Gambit has changed his and another member did a similar conversion earlier in the year, I'll try find the thread for you
  14. Is it that long ? If so i'd say it's a uk car as mine is about 8 digits long
  15. There should be also be a vin number stamped on the bulkhead just above the intercooler, if it's an import will be shorter than uk car, I'll try find the link to decoding vin no's on here somewhere the option and trim code are pointless trying to decipher as no one seems to know much about them
  16. Danger of it going bang boost would be all over and have fueling issues possibly, best off to amass parts and save money put them all on the day before the map otherwise you'd have to drive round like a granny everwhere
  17. Ditch the maf with remap ☺ makes sense saves buying a new one and car runs better without it in my opinion
  18. Www.importcarparts.co.uk they'll have them.or be able to source some
  19. It's not like other stuff like flashing vw's which is a simple affair, your looking at, ecu/ software, mapper &dyno time but it will be properly set up
  20. Hi mate what have you been quoted ? Anywhere between 400-1000 is normal depending on what ecu you have and what's compatable with your year, and all depends on what kind of features your after as well Some ecu's can run open source software which brings the cost down considerably some need a daughter board grafting on or you could splash out in an all siinging all dancing standalone like syvecs Try giving these a shot http://tdracing.co.uk/
  21. They should all fit from the impreza however the top mounts differ from year to year plus the spring rates will be wrong due to different weights
  22. martins a fair chap so hopefully you'll get it sorted with no fuss
  23. Yeah I reckon so, heat gun may be a bit agressive to be hones, last thing you want is a small fire haha
  24. Should fit fine only the sti's and later cars that are 114, if unsure measure across the stud pattern
