How are you guys finding the XV ?
Well firstly, welcome to the XV part of the Forum. I have a 2.0D SE myself in white. Secondly, good to hear you've taken the plunge. What colour did you get? If you can stretch to the extra £80, I'd get the plastic trim that protects the top of the rear bumper because it's prone to getting badly scratched otherwise. The dealer can fit it in an hour. The CVT is supposed to be a good set up, although not driven one myself as I went for a diesel because I do a lot of distance driving. You'll have to post up some photos when you get it. Nice little Christmas Present that DC Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yes the stiff suspension can make it prone to gusts up of cross wind as there's no give in the body roll. I haven't had a problem with mats I must admit, mine are the cloth matts and are secured down. I use a rubber Matt over the top. I also like the fact that it feels a bit rugged and doesn't claim to be the height of luxury. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Washed, clayed and waxed mine seeing as this is the last chance this year and the weather was ok. Also renewed insurance and extended gap insurance. Expensive day all in all Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Xv 2ltr turbo diesel oil change
The key thing about oil is the second number, this is the minimum viscosity at 100 deg C, the 1st number is its maximum viscosity when cold, this helps cold starting. So 0 is for cold starting, 30 is minimum viscosity for hot running. From what I know the 0 or 5 isn't a big deal but putting 0/20 in for example would mean your oil would get too runny and that could cause problems for the turbo. Using 0 or 5 should be fine as long as you let your engine warm up before giving it some beans which I'm sure you do anyway. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Xv 2ltr turbo diesel oil change
Don't know, but you have to assume that the service at a main dealer will use a suitable oil, otherwise Subaru would have something to say. If you're in any doubt then go with what the book says. I just bought half a litre of what the dealership have been using. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Well mine is on its last business run of the year tomorrow off to sunny Hull, can't help thinking though it's not going to be sunny, but at least it is my last work outing for the year. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Xv 2ltr turbo diesel oil change
Right I've just checked, now I get mine serviced by a Subaru Main Dealer and they're using Petronas Syntium 5/30.

Xv 2ltr turbo diesel oil change
I also have s 2.0D XV and To be honest I just bough half a litre that I keep in the boot from the dealer. Not sure what it is, I'd have to check. But if you get it from whoever does your servicing and use that then if there is a problem you can at least go back to the servicer and question their use of that oil.

That is actually a 4 door but the rear door is a sliding door that takes most of the rear wing with it. Not sure what they're doing to be honest. XV looks like it's around for another 2 years though at least Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

They sell 40,000 Qashqai a year. If you want to know how common they are just "baaaa" every time you see one! Seriously though almost every other car seems to be a Qashqai. I understand they're probably a perfectly decent car but why would you want something literally every other person has? And they're expensive, the equivalent Quashqai works out 3k more than the standard XV. I'm a firm believer that if you want a 4x4 then get a 4x4 not something that looks like a 4x4. Gambit knows very well my views on Qashqais and pukes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Qashqai ugly crap driven by sheep, I'll have one of those because everyone else has one! Yes I hate them, but only slightly less than I hate Nissan Pukes! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

They've put out from them, lead you seems to be from Toyota. That girl had gone now too. Turns out that even though my car went in to have the seat foam replaced in October, they didn't put a new foam in at all, just plumped it up a bit and gave it back. The new lot seem a lot more clues up. I think that Wayne has gone too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
