  1. Also had a horrifying experience the other day. Pulled up at McDonald's in Cannock, they have two order lanes so I'm alongside a couple of kids in a silver Polo, lowered to the floor with green wheels. I've got my window open and one says "alright mate", I say hi, he then says "sweet ride", aaaarrrrrggggghhhhhj!!!! I've been accepted by the chav community! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Well my car is in having the seat replaced after finally getting the dealer to pull their finger out. Firstly they didn't even submit the claim for 3 weeks but kept telling me they were waiting for a response from Subaru UK, then I complained and the service department lied to me again saying they would chase the warranty claim with Subaru. I then phoned Subaru and they said they'd had no claim. Eventually collared the dealer principle and he got involved, a week later I'm in the dealer having the new seat back fitted. What is it with service depts. Subaru UK are very good, the franchise dealers on the other hand seem to lose the plot. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Now you see I had bridgestones on a land rover and they were great, but quite soft so brilliant for climbing up dirt tracks etc but wore out pretty quick. Which I guess comes back to what you were saying about tyre choice. Also the tyre company where I get me tyre strongly advised me not to use a different tyre on the XV because it'll never handle as well either on or off road., again it comes down to this fact that Yokohama designed the tyre specifically for the XV. 4. I'm not sure what geolanders you have used on the forester but they're 95a's on the XV. I've not had much to complain about with them, they've been very good in the snow I've used them in, I don't get a huge amount of tyre noise, I can't tell you if they're hard ride because the suspension on then XV is rock hard anyway. The 95 was designed by Yokohama to match the XV and is pretty much the only car that uses it. Tyres are always a point of discussion but I've nearly always had Yokohama tyres on most things, I find they have very good grip and last well, pretty much all I ask if a tyre. 5. Nope, the wife's cars is also an XV, they're Yokohama geolanders, I could have other tyres that for but these are all season and to be fair she's down 34,000 on them and the fronts have got another 7-8000 left so they do last. But these Yokos have been designed for this car so it makes sense to put them on even if they are pricey. Well I'm off to a dog day out, but it's ranging here till lunch time Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I got to buy some new tyres for the wife's car, the tyres are pretty close now, just was well as she got a slow puncture because there's something stuck in the tyre. £130 each which is about as cheap as I can get. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. That was going to be my plan today. I'll also be claiming for physio at this rate because when I took it in first it was just the side support and wasn't really a problem, now that the whole seat back has collapsed it's become very uncomfortable and on a long drive my shoulder starts to hurt. I'm about to make the call so will report back shortly Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. To push me outside of warranty time they'd have to push for 3 years! Subaru UK say they can review a claim within 24hrs, and it's been a month now. I might even drive up there and bang on the desk, to say I'm fuming is an understatement. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I will be phoning the dealer principle later today and bypassing service dept completely. I really can't see why they've not submitted my claim, what benefit us that to them? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Well, the foam has collapsed in my drivers seat. No drama as things like this go wrong from time to time. Took car in over a month ago now to a local dealer. They took photos etc, been chasing since to get an answer and they keep telling me it's Subaru UK taking their time. So eventually I decide to take matters into my own hands and contact Subaru UK myself to see why my warranty claim is stalled. The chap checks my car details and says there are and have been no warranty claims against my reg. so basically the dealers haven't done anything and are lying to me. What I can't figure out is what the benefit to them is of that, they'll get paid for a warranty claim? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Cheaper option is another cheap cam for the rear and keep the front one.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. But nothing like the guy I was with who asked an operator for his F91, and despite me pointing out they don't exist anymore, still issued a non conformance., and then promptly and publicly got gunned down. There's safety and then there's idiots. I'm more sensible, don't look at fee extinguisher expiry dates when there's cranes and excavators on site. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I'm just going through plant inspection records, I'll know when you read this because I'll hear the groan from here! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. You're the reason I went anti-clockwise this morning and got stuck for an hour, ta very much. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Lol, when I said avoid Dartford I meant the crossing. Never been to actual Dartford Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Got stuck on that van fire just off M40 this morning, cost me an hour. But once past that m25 was easy, no trouble at all, though I did deliberately avoid Dartford. Whereabouts are you, I'm on the road widening on the Tonbridge to M25 stretch Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Just kidding, I'm in Tonbridge auditing. Off to Watford tonight to stay then into central London tomorrow for the day. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Trying to get away from all you !Removed! southerners [emoji6] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I'm living out of mine for next day or two as stuck down in London, battled down here this morning, got to battle my way up to Watford tonight, be winding my way home tomorrow though yay! [emoji5]️ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Stants must have been looking at the Gambit version of the GoPro, comes with a leash, little handcuffs and a mask [emoji6] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I'm on Mac and I'm not having issues. Sound isn't the strong point of the transcend but is sufficient for evidence. Have you used a suitable card, 32gb is the upper limit and class 10 is recommended for HD Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. You can see the light was red well before the bridge. Do you reckon he just ignored it or didn't see it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I did once and I hit a cyclist. He was on my side of the road swerved out straight into me. Landed on the bonnet then started giving me lip. Luckily a copper saw it all and he had to cough up to my company for the damage. He tried to counter sue for the damage to his bike but only ended up costing him more Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. The way the ad should have been done is if you hit me at 20mph this is how badly injured I'd be, compared to if you hit me at 40. That's fair enough. But to used a timed event to demonstrate only allows you to say if you'd have been doing 70, you'd be right up here before the kid stepped out. The other one that annoys me is "think biker" here's a new one how about "biker think" the number of times I've nearly hit a biker because he's undertaking or squeezing between me and a vehicle m passing on the motorway. Motorists should take reasonable care I agree, but motorcyclists (and cyclists) need to take responsibility for not putting themselves in danger. A motorists can't judge the speed of a motorbike so don't be doing a ton up to junctions and then complaining because the car that was hundreds of yards away pulls out because he thinks you far enough away, and you would have been had you been doing 40 like you were supposed to. Rant over Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Ta, changed that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
