  1. The cvt doesn't have clutch shudder so that wouldn't be an issue, it's only on the manual. The bigger car would probably be the better choice Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Get out!!!!! only joking, no I don't tow a caravan, petrol or diesel? I imagine the diesel will have more low end grunt. Only thing I would say is with Subarus tendency towards their cars having clutch shudder I'm not sure how or if that would affect it. certainly never seen an XV towing anything but imagine it could, it has kerb weights in the manual.
  3. Result [emoji38] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Just keep the windows shut, no one will notice. Mine's covered in Sahara sand which I need to wash off. Bl@@dy immigrant sand coming over here taking over our cars, costing me money and using up my car washing resources. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. That's what I'll be doing in 6months. But trying to get my Sky box replaced for free at the minute, if they won't fix then I'll be using the cancel threat Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Well I phoned up and spat my toys out and they knocked a fiver off my bill for the next 6months, worth a try. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Might want to take that vid down in that case [emoji6] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. YouTube ruin the image quality, not matter how good it looks on your laptop. Always an issue sady Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I'm going to have to go soon, I need a new Subaru Keyring as my free one from the dealers fell apart, hope that's no indication of the quality of the car[emoji38] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. !Removed! quick, even on gravel. But then 0-60 is 7.5 secs so it would feel pretty quick. But it was a refined quick though, it didn't try and tear your face if it just did it with out any drama. Had the boxer growl though so all good It's probably the same sort of difference between a Bentley and Ferrari. Was very capable off road too. They had an off road track and we pretended to be interested in buying one to get a go on the track. [emoji6] Western park do a game fair and subaru are there and you can get a free run on their course with a professional driver, mine was the competition safari team driver for Nissan! I'm not really keen on the styling of the new forester but I can imagine that performance in an XV. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. It is yes, had a go in one and they only come in cvt and you can't get one in black Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. still waiting for an XV with a 2.0l turbo same as the forester XT. . . . . might be a long wait though. looks like subaru are heading towards all their cars being CVT.
  13. Paid a tenna at halfrawds fur mine. I'll get a photo tomorrow, I'll do the whole install on a vid actually Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I use a combined socket that has 2 USB sockets in it, this sits nicely in the cubby hole at the front, my transcend is plugged in through the USB connection. My tomtom runs in the other USB socket and that leaves the cigarette sicker free Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Looks nice, not fore though as I need the ground clearance for work

I use shell and pretty much only shell, I did a test using shell nitro diesel over a few weeks and to be honest it didn't like the fuel. Mpg was only slightly better and yes it was a little smoother and possibly a little more oomph, but the more responsive throttle actually made the car harder to drive, particularly at slow speeds. Found it kangarooed a lot more especially on tracks etc. I have returned back to normal shell diesel now and the car is running normally again.
  17. The standard clutch judder you get with all subaru doesn't stop it pulling away and certainly the clutch doesn't slip. Sounds like a knackered clutch from what you've described Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I've got a 15month old XV and even that judders a bit, my wife's does a bit too. Subaru just say it's a characteristic of the brand and unless it's severe they won't do anything about it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Not a good start to the day [emoji19] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I wanted something bold but was put off the orange by the dealer, not to sell one in his forecourt it genuinely because he said they struggled to shift them. So I went for the white one which looks a bit Bling next to my wife's. Oddly next t each other they look like different cars even though the only difference is the fictive got a stone chip guard, hers looks more stealthy, mine looks more sporty. Mine even looks bigger than hers. All this down to the colour. The grey sparkle looks gorgeous after a good wash, wax and polish. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. You used to be able to get the bright orange over here, but it didn't sell that well and resale was difficult. I wanted an orange one but the dealer talked me out of it because of the issues selling them on Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. They've had a few odd colours "khaki" was one from 2013, looked a bit pants to be honest. Sold well in Middle East though apparently Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. My wife has a metallic grey one and it is like a very metallic sparkly black. Looks really nice actually, I've got the pearl white one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Strangely they have trouble shifting the black ones. It's why they brought out the "black" version to try move them. I'm not even sure you can get black any more, you can't in the forester as we've asked, dark grey is the nearest. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Sorry, meant in terms of body shape. I agree it's got lots of extras, lucky you didn't go for the one that was there. Hope it's all good. I love mine, and the wife loves hers What colour did you go for, I forgot to ask Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
