  1. I think the traction control turns off, because you need to be able to do that on a gravel hill for example, but the stability control I just think is just a reduced sensitivity so still active. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. You cannot turn off the VDC via conventional means. However I believe there is a fuse you can pull that will disable the VDC, there are vids on YouTube. A lot of cars have this background VDC whereby even if you turn it off it still activates in severe slides as it assumes most drivers are not hooligans. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Midlands looks like snow tomorrow. If you have dogs, we have a lintran dog crate made to fit the back of the XV. It's about £300 but a good piece of kit, this is our 2nd our last one we traded in to lintran for £70 enter we'd owned it for 11years. I can put photos up if of interest. 4. Well 275mile down to Plymouth today, overnight in a pub Carpark and 275 mile back home tomorrow. I do like the fact that the XV never feels like it's having a problem with a long drive. I had my foot down today and gave her a bit of a ragging, had my lowest MPG to date at 46.7mpg, sorry david1972 [emoji6] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. We've got rain, rain and if we're lucky a bit of sleet! [emoji30] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Is this in forza 6 or horizon when you're talking about crap prizes. If it's forza, the trick is to spend some money on the cards, then use the cards that give you extra XP, do a long race and you'll get several spins, I did an endurance race of 2+ hrs with 2x 100% XP and a 60% XP cards I made millions on the spins after getting 15 or more spins. It's one of the best ways to make money in the game. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  17. Just waiting for our first delivery, wife had a nono thing waiting to see if it's a fake or not. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Not many people play it now to be fair, most play forza 6. But I have horizon still so I'll run with you, you should be able to get the SOC logos from my storefront too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Looked at "wish" today, wife has used it to buy something, waiting for it to be delivered. Not sure how it works or what it is but everything seems pretty cheap, in fact very cheap. It's an approved app from Apple App Store. The app is called WISH. Anyway, I thought I'd randomly type in Subaru and this came up, seems they also sell some Subaru stuff, could be fake could be crap I don't know, but at a few quid it might be worth a punt. When/ if my wife's order arrives I'll let you know what the stuff is like. You can pay via PayPal so you get some buyer security. There's other Subaru and interior stuff such as led lights and trims etc Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Picked up two touch up paints from the dealer. And this was hilarious, I just had a guy phone me from "Windows technical department". He said in an Indian accent, "Hello, my name is Alfred and I'm calling you on behalf of Windows technical department" to which I replied. "No you're not". He said "what do mean", I said you're not calling me from Windows technical department really, are you?". He replied "Eff off!" And hung up. I think Windows need to work on their customer service. Haha! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. There's a guy bought one over Christmas DavidWM he's posted in the thread below "How are you guys finding the XV" I don't know if any others. I know some people say it feels a little underpowered but it's quite a heavy car and it's a 140hp 2.0 so I guess it's subjective. The CVT is supposed to be very good though. Personally I prefer the manual. You'll get more power, torque and performance, as well as significantly better mpg with the diesel but unless you're doing reasonable annual mileage you'd be better with the petrol as the diesel carries a premium and the risk of DPF issues if you do short runs. I have a diesel version, but I do about 20,000 miles a year and most of it on fairly long motorway runs which virtually removed the DPF risk. I would advise taking one for a run how you drive, most Subaru dealers will lend you one for a morning to go for a drive. The onboard mpg calculator is pretty accurate so you'll get a good idea on mpg. 40mpg is probably top on the end on a petrol on motorway runs and I'd expect you to get lower than that generally. However that said I get around 56mpg out of the diesel which is higher than book for extra urban. DC
  22. I find horizon a bit too Arcady, forza you can get better at, I like Horizon just prefer the feel and tracks in Forza 6 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
