  6. Ordered the required part from the USA today - local stealer didn't get back to me a week later. Useless
  7. That's like a dream team right there
  8. So....... I've found the part that I need and can get it from America via ebay. At the same time I rang the local stealer who by 4.30pm tonight couldn't work out what the part was I wanted from my VIN. So I gave them the part number and they are going to have to speak with those in Japan again to verify it is suitable for my car (I already know it is), then get me a price. Anything from 70-130 plus VAT. Ebay option from USA looks cheaper, even with import duty, and it's still the same official part. The USA ebay merchant gave me this great link too - if you ever want part numbers, including for JDM cars, just bookmark this! They certainly have customer service licked over there - fantastic!! https://partsouq.com/
  9. I think I've worked out what the issue I had with the gearbox a few weeks ago was. Having done some reading up on other forums today, it sounds like I need to replace the neutral switch attached to the gear selector mechanism. My problem now is how / where to find the part number. I've emailed ICP this afternoon but not had a reply yet. Does anybody have any suggestions of where else to look please? Want this fixing at the next service in May, before it goes for its remap. TIA
  10. Am I right in thinking we have a few 2.5 WRX STI 330s hatch owners on here? If so, would you mind sharing with me your thoughts on your cars please, in a mini review? Reliability of the engines, running and servicing costs and fun factor is what I'd like to hear about please - along with some pictures of course! Thank you :)
  11. I'm already committed to going with my local club, but will hope to see some familiar faces on the stand if it gets organised.
  12. Post isn't on here. Did some asking round last night and it appears to be a known issue - the DCCD control unit needs replacing:
  13. There's an owner up here having the same problem, but they've just changed their tyres all round to rainsport 3's - they won't be happy to hear of the issue with a set of new Dunlops as that is what the dealer is claiming is the problem with theirs (different tyre brand)
  14. do it - you know you want to!
  15. Latest local club run out today...
  16. Little run out on Saturday
  17. I think there is something up with the gearbox or mechanism - the wife has had the car out today and has had all sorts of problems apparently. I've noticed it strangely stiff at times recently when moving the selector. Hope its nothing too costly; going to get it looked at as soon as I can get it booked in if it continues this weekend.

  19. Yeah, noticed the ‘P’ dash light is the only one not lighting this morning. Maybe coincidence but maybe not [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Yeah, be 2 years come June - you'd think I'd know by now, wouldn't ya
  21. So got new battery, put it in, still nothing...devastated. Called out low loader recovery who came out and hooked car up to winch on. I had to turn ignition and take out of park (obviously) for him to load it and heard it try to fire up. Tried again in neutral and it started no bother. Spoke to my garage bloke who said it may not have been registering as being fully in park, hence stopping it starting. God knows how tho as it normally won’t let me take the key out. Never felt so relieved or humiliated hahaha lesson learned tho and nice new more powerful battery in place [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
