  1. haha yeah, tempted to go for the nitro tyre inflation. on another note, i've been given a 100quid gift card as a christmas pressie from a PC company for moderating their forums. Any ideas what to blow it on? :)
  2. what about these two? http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201412029388470/sort/default/postcode/ts274bf/engine-size-cars/3l_to_3-9l/radius/1500/onesearchad/used%2Cnearlynew%2Cnew/model/legacy/price-from/1000/transmission/manual/make/subaru/page/1/usedcars?logcode=p http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201411209114829/sort/default/postcode/ts274bf/engine-size-cars/3l_to_3-9l/radius/1500/onesearchad/used%2Cnearlynew%2Cnew/model/legacy/price-from/1000/transmission/manual/make/subaru/page/1/usedcars?logcode=p
  3. Yeah I thought that, but when I looked up 4 wheel alignment, (which is what they claim offered) I realised that all they were checking was the "toe" alignment with the standard lasers. Not a full toe, camber and caster alignment. So i've booked it in (these guys) to get the job done properly.
  4. what about this mate. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2005-Subaru-Legacy-3-0-R-Spec-b-Tourer-Awd-5-door-Estate-/121348624306?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item1c40f10fb2
  5. Got the new tyres fitted an asked them to do a four wheel alignment. Rears were out 4mm, although they said the bolts were seized on so they couldn't do it. Would 4 mm effect things? They adjusted the front wheel alignment, although now my steering wheel isn't straight. Annoying. -.-
  6. hi bud, welcome to the club :)
  7. she fell asleep, so i took some pics ;) unfortunately for you guys, i took pics of the tyres... :)
  8. lol I would mate, but the missus is watching the telly. Not a chance im getting in the way of those soaps. Not even unwrapped them yet :( they do feel really nice though, nice and firm
  9. got my tyres! yay sat on the kitchen table at the moment lol. Missus aint impressed.
  10. Have you checked Ebay? Might be able to find a replacement from a breaker.
  11. My new tyres still aint turned up... seems they are coming from Germany though, so cant complain really.
  12. lol, I wanna buy car stuff.. not sure what? Would like some mud flaps? any suggestions? hahah
  13. Yeah I will mate, gotta be an improvement over the tyres I have on atm. Hopefully they will come by the weekend and I can get them fitted on Saturday. Will post some pics :)
  14. Just ordered my new tyres, a mate found them on tyre leader, only cost me 320 quid. It wants to !Removed! snow now!
  15. lol. http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/topic/10389-is-it-worth-welding/#entry61069
  16. oh aye, I looked at those mate. Can pick them up for 55 quid each in 215/45/17's, not too bad price wise. Looked at quite a few in this thread of Stants - http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/topic/10525-winter-tyres/ The Nokian A3's have a C rating for economy so I'm thinking that might give me a few extra MPG. Atm I can squeeze about 400-450 miles from a full tank of vpower, a few more miles would be nice lol. No I didnt know that mate, don't suppose you know any that do?
  17. Anyone else using winter tyres? I'm just pricing some up and sending out a few emails requesting price matches lol. Gonna go for these If anyone is curious. http://www.mytyres.co.uk/cgi-bin/rshop.pl?details=Ordern&cart_id=26829416.110.28448&kplz=&Cookie=&ABT=&typ=R-245918&dsco=110
  18. looks really good mate, nice job. Think I'll get myself one :)
  19. Just gave mine a wash, used the good old two bucket method. Nice and clean again now, until tomorrow that is. Could do with a pressure washer to wash off all that winter grime before hand though, but I dont have an outside tap. Also saw the neighbour park up in his naf Nissan qwash quish, only to start checking out my legacy lol.
  20. thanks for the reply, still not any closer to removing the old ones yet though haha. !Removed! cars eh
  21. oh sweet mate, seems like the WR A3 did well too. "The Nokian WR A3 winter tyre wins the 2012 winter tyre test by the German car magazine “Auto Bild”, earning the top rating “exemplary”. “Auto Bild” praises the Nokian WR A3: “Strengths: exemplary handling qualities on snowy, wet and dry surfaces, stable directional control and precise steering response, shortest wet and dry braking distances, low fuel consumption”.
  22. so, I've been having a look winter tyres and as I do about 60-65miles per day I thought it would be a good idea to get some winter tyres. After all it is my safety lol. These are all 215 45 17's btw. These Nokian tyres look pretty decent, made in Finland too so i'd expect they are good in the winter weather. http://www.mytyres.co.uk/cgi-bin/rshop.pl?dsco=110&cart_id=26829416.110.28448&sowigan=CW&Breite=215&Quer=45&Felge=17&Speed=&kategorie=6&Marke=&ranzahl=4&tyre_for=&x_tyre_for=&rsmFahrzeugart=ALL&search_tool=standard&Label=C-C-72-2&details=Ordern&typ=R-245918 Or these Nankang ones, which are a bit cheaper. http://www.mytyres.co.uk/cgi-bin/rshop.pl?dsco=110&cart_id=26829416.110.28448&sowigan=CW&Breite=215&Quer=45&Felge=17&Speed=&kategorie=6&Marke=&ranzahl=4&tyre_for=&x_tyre_for=&rsmFahrzeugart=ALL&search_tool=standard&Label=E-C-71-2&details=Ordern&typ=R-191294 Or these Hankook ones, I've got two of these on the rears already, but need replacing really. The car did have four, but the previous owner put two !Removed! budgets on the front as he sold it to me. http://www.mytyres.co.uk/cgi-bin/rshop.pl?dsco=110&cart_id=26829416.110.28448&sowigan=CW&Breite=215&Quer=45&Felge=17&Speed=&kategorie=6&Marke=&ranzahl=4&tyre_for=&x_tyre_for=&rsmFahrzeugart=ALL&search_tool=standard&Label=F-C-72-2&details=Ordern&typ=R-261704 Or these Kumho ones http://www.mytyres.co.uk/cgi-bin/rshop.pl?dsco=110&cart_id=26829416.110.28448&sowigan=CW&Breite=215&Quer=45&Felge=17&Speed=&kategorie=6&Marke=&ranzahl=4&tyre_for=&x_tyre_for=&rsmFahrzeugart=ALL&search_tool=standard&Label=C-E-74-3&details=Ordern&typ=R-156569 falkens http://www.mytyres.co.uk/cgi-bin/rshop.pl?dsco=110&cart_id=26829416.110.28448&sowigan=CW&Breite=215&Quer=45&Felge=17&Speed=&kategorie=6&Marke=&ranzahl=4&tyre_for=&x_tyre_for=&rsmFahrzeugart=ALL&search_tool=standard&Label=F-C-72-2&details=Ordern&typ=R-246899
  23. I looked at getting winter tyres, but I'm not sure, decent ones aint cheap and we might end up with another warm winter.
  24. So, when i had my spoiler put on, the guy (who did it for free) didn't fit the stronger boot springs that came with it. Ever since I've been having intermitant problems opening the boot. I have to lift this annoying little lever in the front of the cabin to open the boot, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. So, the time as has eventually come to install the stronger boot springs. But, I don't have the instructions anymore... lol so does anyone have any idea how to do it? or know of a guide somewhere? edit, a google suggests they are called torsion bars, not boot springs. thanks tom
  25. its very suspect lol. Tempted to ask for more info about it being an "STI" lol just noticed the sti badge on the front grille too. haha wtf
