We are now camping on Fri and Sat nights. A Place about 15-20 mins from the meet point, Happy Days. Could get used to this, BBQ's, beer, camping and car shows :) Spent a few hundred quid getting a decent tent, a little cooker and a big cooler box for the all the burgers and sausages!
  3. So, I've got a K n N panel filter. Recently I've read a few posts saying don't use oil filters. Can someone explain this me please? I didn't think there was a problem with using K n N filters. Thanks
  4. Mine will be filthy, camping Friday and Sat nights :)
  5. lol just got a text from corfate, hahah hes going to look at a vectra! lmfao
  6. what about this one bud? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2006-06-SUBARU-IMPREZA-4X4-2-0-R-SPORT-FOUR-WHEEL-DRIVE-FIVE-DOOR-HATCHBACK-/171356847996?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item27e5a9ff7c
  7. I drove her today, nipped to Asda for a tefal griddle pan for camping at all these car shows :) The car was perfect, no dodgy clutch noises, engine was perfect. Damn, I love my car!
  8. i looked at MTEC discs, they looked promising, very good pricing... seemed to good to be true. So I did alot of googling, whilst i couldn't find any solid reviews. I did find a considerable number of forum posts and quite a few of these suggested that these brakes are simply cheap OEM discs that are machined on site to add the grooves/dimples,drills etc etc. I'd avoid them to be honest.
  9. oh thats good, thanks :)
  10. so they are going to have a look at it for free? and if they are corroded they will do the job for free?
  11. yeah I'll give my local one a call too.
  12. I love that 2.0 model. Looks really clean. Do it ;)
  13. ah ok thanks bud will see how she goes.
  14. oh ****.. Is there an easy way to 100% confirm its on the way out? And it wasnt me being a mong with !Removed! clutch control.
  15. thanks for the info gambit, would it be an expensive repair? a new clutch? I've not tried it when i'm pulling off slowly with the handbrake, will try it tomorrow. But it tends to happen if i try to pull off quickly.
  16. So, I was quite possibly being a mong at the time, but wanted to post and double check if - A yes, I was being a mong, or - B yes, your clutch is on the way out. Driving today i pulled off once from a standstill/downhil for some reason i was second gear (mong I know) and just as i was pulling off and releasing the clutch back, i heard an awful squeal... Sounded awful! Then about About 5mins later Ihad to do a hill start, so handbrake on and all that, pulled off in 1st and heard the same squeal again. :( I was probably being a mong the 1st time, but does it sound like my clutch is on the way out? It doesn't normally do this, so it makes me think it was just shoddy clutch control on my part. thanks in advance.
  17. I've just added up all the costs for the brake parts i need/want. And then I sighed :(

lol, i could cancel and look for somewhere closer, but i cant find any that will let us camp for a single night. So i might as well stick with this place. It looks like it has good reviews and he only wanted 20 odd quid, so will probably give it a try unless i find somewhere considerably closer. http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=6205

I've just booked a campsite for the 28th, I'm thinking camp overnight, a bit of a BBQ, get up early, have some scran, pack up the tent head to the meetup place. Yeah Great plan Tom. So did a search on google maps, found a site that looked promising. Googled the name of the site, to find their own site and gave them a bell. Turns out there are two camp sites with the exact same name in Yorkshire. I happened to book the other one that' s just south of York. Not the one that's just south of Ripon. Slow Clap Tom.
  20. looks awesome mate, love the splitter.
  21. Just spent the last 3 hours washing and waxing the scooby. Nice and shiny now :) Annoyingly, i do get some weird looks and no one ever says thanks when i move out of their way as they drive past.
  22. Could we not just up turn in a pub car park? As long as we go in a get a few drinks/food we will be patrons and they can't really complain :)
  23. looks like the two campsites that are near the track are full for the 16th aug :(
  24. lol, hahaha good old bribery never fails eh. I invited mine along, no idea if she will come but I've covered my back by offering.
  25. I wouldn't mind a stainless steel exhaust. Although, I'd need a custom one which will no doubt be several hundred quid.
