  1. There is just no comparison... I'm tempted to do a bit of tuning to my Seat just so it handles better. At the moment it's like driving a boat with wheels... :(
  2. Dropped my car off at the garage finally, it's been sat on my drive for a long time waiting to be fixed :(. Can't wait to get it back!
  3. Please don't wake the dead.. I don't think the world is ready for a zombie invasion just yet Savage. I fitted the Turbosmart valve and I'm just letting it vent to atmosphere for now and when I finally get the part it's a quick job putting it on :).
  4. I can but that's not what I want, so I can fit the valve for now and have it vent to atmosphere until I find the elbow so it recircs some of the air. My car has behaved weird all the time i've had it, slow spool and popping. I reckon it's to do with the dump valve so go this one as a work around, if it doesn't help then I can enjoy the sound. It also holds higher boost pressure for future upgrades :).
  5. It's all to do with the stock recirculating valve, the elbow is used to connect the return pipe to the valve. When people install aftermarket valves on they just get rid of the elbow :(.
  6. Gambit has I believe, he should be along at some point once he sees the word "stiffi" ;)
  7. This helped figure out what the pipe was for and T-Piece ;). It also confirms the part I need... "3. Remove the plumb back fitting on the back of the standard BOV and install it onto the Turbosmart BOV using the standard screws" Can't that that part anywhere :(
  8. I've just received my turbosmart dual port dump valve... awesome bit of kit but I'm having installation issues. I have the original recirc pipework but not he 90 degree elbow that connects it to the valve. Connection on the turbosmart... The part I need is on the bottom left of the recirc valve in this picture I've contact my local breakers but they haven't got back to me, just wondering if anyone knows where I can get it. Cheers :).
  9. Risky business converting to LPG, prolonged use makes you engine run hot and fries your piston rings. There was a Forester on Ebay that had an LPG conversion and it had done that. I may be wrong but it's what i've been informed by my brother whos a mechanic.
  10. The elbow can be seen in this picture, bottom left of the Blow off valve. I need that...
  11. The return hose to the inlet pipe, it has a bigger bore to the vacuum pipe at the top.
  12. Got my turbosmart BOV today, well chuffed with it. Should do the job just fine :). However I'm foxed about connecting the return pipe... they provided a hose (which is already in my car anyway but may swap it for this new one) but it isn't possible to connect it to the BOV. Any idea how I could get this connected? Am I missing a part from my subaru? I looked on google pictures at a couple them fitted and I can see some sort of "elbow" but can't for the life of me find one!
  13. Yeah pretty sure Subaru would match front and back brands. If i get a bit of spare time tomorrow I can give you an idea of what they would look like painted if you like, If you give me a side picture of the car showing the calipers I will change the colour in photoshop :).
  14. Hard acceleration noise could point towards your drivetrain... differential most likely. I'd say gearbox but if you have all gears and they feel good then most likely not :). Does it get worse when turning a certain direction? If so then wheel bearing could be at fault, should get louder or quieter when turning.
  15. Put up a pic of your calipers if you can, that will help a lot :).
  16. Consti is correct. If leaking on boost check the BOV itself. If leaking when you let off, the air passes through the BOV and down the hose to your inlet pipe. If you have a split or loose clamp then the air will "hiss" out.
  17. Prodrive backbox sounds quite nice, I took mine off because it wasn't loud enough though ;). Unsure about fitment but I still have my back box in the garage, if you need measurements or anything let me know.
  18. I think I'm just getting the box reconditioned now, time has fallen short the scoob needs to go in for work asap as I can't drive it. The list of jobs are: Brake master cylinder (I lose my pedal if it's not pressed for a while and if you hold it down it slowly sinks) Long travel on handbrake (easy fix but may as well add it) At 60mph there is a howling that gets worse when turning right (sounds like wheel bearing to me) Diff is whining it's knockers off all the time So really it's driving a bit rubbish :(. If the bill isn't so bad I will get the handling kit from CDF racing, Roll bars, drop links and ALK ;). That's the Subarus treat for being brave in hospital lol.
  19. Cheers Savage, good information :). I've been thinking hard about it, my front shafts will fit. Also the kits comes with everything else so I don't need to worry about my diff, shafts or hubs on the rear :). Only concern is my hubs have group N wheel studs on them which are a different thread size to normal subarus. So I would need to swap the studs over which is a big job I think. My brother didn't seem too keen anyway ;)
  20. Found an STI JDM 6 speed.... is it worth it? It comes with gearbox, prop shaft, rear diff, rear shafts and hubs. Will my front shafts fit?
  21. No interest? If not then I shall put it on ebay :).
  22. I've got a ninja 1 but got the cat in still so not sure it's much help.
  23. As many of you know, I got myself a new dashcam which means my not so old Transcend Drivepro 200 is for sale. As you can see above these are included: - Dashcam - 5M in car power cable - Some form of video cable - Adhesive mount (unused) with extra pad - Suction mount which cost extra - SD card 16GB class 10 This camera comes ready to use, the firmware is updated and settings all done but you may want to change them to suit your needs. £70 with free postage (tnt next day)
  24. I shall take my bro out in it and see if he can provide some light. Will suggest that :). Cheers ghost.
  25. Still unsure what to do about the diff, little bit worried because it whines like a banshee when warm, knocks in reverse. Also it sounds like the rear diff is knocking when I change gear... Might just have to bite the bullet and give the car to my bro to dimantle and send off for reconditioning :(.
