  1. Looks like a droplink but doesn't look like it's attached to the anti-roll bar....
  2. It should be significantly louder, all depends on how much noise your backbox kills. With no resonator, it may drone along the motorway. Mine was very loud, but I did have a vortex afterburner back box which did little in noise reduction :D
  3. You won't need a remap as long as you're not touching the downpipe. I did this mod and ran it for about a year with zero issues, as long as you get a cat pipe section which has a hole for the o2 sensor you should be fine.
  4. K&N is oiled so has a chance of oiling up the MAF. I've used pipercross before and had no issues, remember the light side is the clean side, the rough black stuff on the bottom is the first part to get hit with the dirty air. Cosworth is also a very good choice
  5. I sold my scooby a little while ago... still have the standard downpipe in my garage!
  6. It should fit but you may have to modify the hangers if you need to use them... unless the system is light enough. I know the third hanger on the backbox points the wrong way, not sure about the centre pipe hanger
  7. As in a full turbo back system? or cat back? Turbo back would fit, but one or two hangers will be in the wrong position. Cat back won't fit... centre pipes are different lengths
  8. Does the knock go away once the engine is fully up to temp?
  9. I bet it looks something like this... :D
  10. You will be fine for another 2-3k miles
  11. Something like this probably: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DFP-36-00-Subaru-Impreza-Single-Double-Din-Car-Stereo-Facia-Panel-Adaptor-/352097513027?epid=2099307653&hash=item51faa5ae43:g:qsQAAOSwPK1ZT-3R
  12. I'm a wee bitty south of Inverness unfortunately!! But yeh as others have said, shell v-power or tesco 99 and you're golden!!
  13. I will get another Subaru further down the road at some point :D
  14. i got 650 miles.... out of my Mondeo
  15. Sounds like you've covered a lot of bases already! I would fire some redex into the tank... maybe for a few tanks, stuff is good for clearing gunk that builds up on injectors and fuel lines... I take it the air filter is clean?
  16. Does it feel like the turbos ever kick in? Have you checked for any boost leaks?
  17. There is no doubt I will get one again in the future... this time will start with an STI :D It is nice though driving a car that tells me I have 650 miles to go until empty!
  18. Washed and packed the Subaru up ready for my mate collecting it tomorrow once the wheels are back. Picked up the Mondeo... almost 80 quid to fill it! but almost 600 miles of range apparently. Will be sad to see her drive off!
  19. Quite a few folk on here have them and rate them highly, I think the 3 litre engine is bullet proof! Welcome to the club!
  20. Hey.... at least I didn't buy a Honda!
  21. My scooby is sold! Didn't take much convincing for my mate to buy it! As of Wednesday, I will be the proud owner of a rather high spec 2007 Mondeo. Very nice, smooth and comfortable... will still have boost as it's a turbo diesel! So I will take her to work tonight one last time, then she will sit on axle stands as the wheels get done again then off she goes to my friend!
  22. I know I'll miss it... but my money could go to better things at the moment. Don't worry though, I'll get another scooby down the road... will go STI next time :D
  23. Well, as much as I love my Scooby I think I'm going to sell her. At this moment in my life I need a sensible and economical (aka boring) car. Not all bad news as the person who has helped me over the past couple of years work on it is looking very likely to buy it... I'll get him to sign up so I may not be as active, but my Subaru will be!!
