Check this guy out!
Your tyres wil be nullified for sure. If you want to try this buy a cheap set of tyre and make sure your oil level is above the half as a stock car does not have an oil buffle. If your oil moving too fast because of the G force ( turning, braking, accelerating, or spinning like this guy ) you can damage your engine as well. An oil baffle can prevent this. You don`t need one except you are doing slalom races or extremely silly things ;)

Are you interested in a CAI as well or just a filter? If yes then a HKS racing suction kit is a good choice ;)

noobie advice
Change the Oil and the filter frequently. (I am doing this every 3-4K! ) Only use premium quality oil! ( Motul or other equivalent ) This is more important than the cooling. Do not rev and floor the car until its properly warmed up. That distance for a turbocharged car is a bad joke ( from the warming point of view ) Do you have any gauges installed in your car? boost, oil tempretaure, oil pressure ?

Hi from Kent
Welcome to SOC ;) This will be my first choice if I needed more space. Some of the suspension bushes are the same as the STI sedan`s. Would you mind to post some pictures about the engine and from inside as well?

Need some advice
If it is needed for daily drive get the Scooby. Nissans are good cars but the R32 is a bit thirsty. I have had a 200SX ( stage 3 with 325 horses) it consumed a lot ( 20+L /100Km ~14mpg ) The R32 four wheel drive system is a bit different from the Scooby`s because the R32 is a FWD when its not required.

Is a Subaru worth the running costs?
Try to quote as an additional driver with your parents or something. Ohh boy If I could afford to have a Subaru when I was 20 ;) If this will be your first car be very careful. I always wanted an STI. This car is a legend ( at least for me ;) ) Put a big smile on me every time I drive it. The lovely boxer sound... I had stronger car as well but nothing to compare to an STI. Go for it. You won`t regret that I promise

Subtle performance ideas needed.
Top ones are almost just for the show compare to the subframe and anti roll bars...

Subtle performance ideas needed.
My favorite ones: bushing, strut braces, anti roll bars I prefer the handling above the power

What would you do?
Well. The condition depends on how the car was handled from new. The problem is even If the car is jacked up is hard to tell the mount is good or bad until you take it off. Some sign: if you change the gear sometimes you feel the stick is sloppy or not in the right place properly. Even the rubber is in good shape the transmission house can move and this causing less power on the drive train Keep in mind because the Cusco mount holds your transmission house properly the vibration will be increased! This is a really good upgrade if you use your Scooby properly ;) ( agressive acceleration, hard cornering etc
-
What would you do?
More precise shifting. With a stock mount the transmission is moving slightly as you changing gears. The Cusco one is holding the transmission house very tight. Second benefit the Cusco is much stronger than the stock. The stock transmission mount is not last too long because of the poor quality :( ( Sorry to say but all the European model has this crap. The JDM version has a very similar to the Cusco its called Group N transmission mount ) Just to show the difference see below Cusco transmission and engine mount. ( Very strong and last forever ... ;) ) Stock ( You can see the nice quality of the lousy rubber ) It looks like this after 60-70K miles ):

What would you do?
Strongflex bushing kit is around £350 Probably the work costs a couple of hundreds too. Cusco transmission mount is around £170
