Thank you for that reply Tim. What type of oil should I use part synthetic or fully?

Oil advice & recommendations from oilman @ Opie Oils
Hi. I'm looking to service my impreza turbo 2000. The engine has 158k miles and only has a aftermarket back box. I intend to add a cat back and upgraded panel filter plus remap. Which oil do you recommend.

I'll be travelling from south. Should take me 2 hours. All our members get to park on the stands?

So when we go as a club do we have a specific parking area? This would be my first event I visit so I'm full of eager and questions.

Sound like chaos. Is it better to get there the night before then?

Strange looking sludge in overflow.
It was hose pipe flushed through. No gunk came out.

Is the entry ticket price per person or per car?

Strange looking sludge in overflow.
It does feel a bit gritty. When the rad was changed none of that stuff was in any of the pipes it didn't flow out either. I've seen oil/water mix before and it was nothing like that.

I'm keen on this. Any rough idea on prices? Trying to save for a wedding as well as looking after the impreza. I've learnt quickly...don't tell her anything.

Show me your muddy flaps
Scooby world have a lifetime guarantee on their flaps so if you lose one for whatever reason they replace it. Might be a bit pricy compared to others but always nice to have a lifetime of flaps. [emoji6]

Opieoils
I was hasty making this topic. I should've searched first as I found oilman and pm'd him. I was just browsing the packages they offer and it has a ufl filter but I'd prefer a genuine Subaru filter. Also not 100% sure on the best oil for me to use. The engine has 158k mile with only a back box changed. I was thinking maybe 10w40 fully syn.

Opieoils
Just wonder if anyone has any experience with the website Opie oils. They seem to be really cheap, in my eyes £30 for 5l of oil plus a filter is too good to be true and that usually means it is.

Strange looking sludge in overflow.
Today I had my radiator changed as the old one had a very small leak. It never leaked enough to notice a drop in coolant so I've never been worried about it running low. The old rad was completely rotten so it was a good thing I swapped it now. All topped up bled through and looking good on that front now I'm not sure if I didn't notice this before but there seems to be sludge in the overflow. Header tank is clean, no bubbles in overflow and oil cap doesn't have cottage cheese so I'm ruling out head gasket. My question basically is What is this stuff?? Maybe it's some old remnants of a kseal attempt? Would do you guys think?[emoji54]

What have you done to your Subaru today ?
Looking smart. I had my rad changed. The bottom was completely rotten so lucky I changed it now before I lost all the coolant.

noobie advice
I suppose it would mean messing about with a lot of wiring too. I like to let the idle drop but even then I keep it between 2000/2500rpm until I feel really sure I'm up to temp. The temp gauge doesn't count.

noobie advice
I'm the same. I always let it warm right up and even then give it more of a relaxed drive before engaging the "F###ing hell" system. When I finish I normally get all my bits together and if I'm using the boot get it all out while leaving it running as a cool down. Would you guys recommend a turbo timer instead? My old impreza had one that you could lock the car and it'd still run. It was linked to the handbrake so even if someone got in it the engine would cut out after handbrake was dropped.

Brake light problem
The bulb was exactly the same as the old one. It would only go in one way. My lil sis had one go on her car so I pinched the other bulb in the pack.
