What have you done to your Subaru today ?
Check importcarparts.co.uk for filters. Oil filter, air filter and fuel filter is only £12.50 total for a classic and I doubt it's much more for you if any.

Don't do it! You unleash too many opinions on oil [emoji33] [emoji23] [emoji23] Save the money on filters and stick it towards oil.

SF5/Impreza bits needed + 4POT brakes
I'll have to look to be 100% sure. Wheels are off Saturday for new tyres so will snap pics then.

SF5/Impreza bits needed + 4POT brakes
These are the late standard classic wheels that clear 4 pots. Disc size doesn't matter too much.

SF5/Impreza bits needed + 4POT brakes
It's to do with the offset and width of the wheel. Early cars were designed using 2 pot brakes so didn't need wider or a different offset. Later cars needed the extra space for the larger 4 pot. My standard wheels are 16 inch. Clears 4 pots.

SUBARU R160 4.44 DIFF (CLASSIC STI) or VNXAA Gearbox
That's a good price for box and diff with postage. Dependant on condition of course.

Do you have a GOOD tracking Print out? and other questions.
That is a classic Impreza set up. Since you share so many similarities I thought I'd share it. You could factor in weight difference, tyre size, length and width of the car as all of that makes a difference to a good set up and no two cars are ever the same due to age of components and tyre brand.

Bargain of the week?
Fair do but if you had to and it was not described accurately then PayPal could help with the refund.

Bargain of the week?
Did you pay via PayPal?

Bargain of the week?
Hmm, can you at least send the hard pipe back to recoup the money?

Bug-eye impreza wrx problem
You'll hear a hiss noise when you get your ears close to pipes. If you hold your hand near the pipe you may feel the leak but at idle the pressure won't be so noticeable.

Insurance
I'm 29, 7yrs NCB and all mods declared. I pay £570 a year. There are a lot of variables that factor in cost here. I moved about 10 mile from north of the Thames to the south and it halved my premium.

Ebay FMIC Reviews?
My old classic came with an umbranded(assume eBay) fmic. Fitment was terrible. Pipes felt stretched and bent at angles they didn't want to sit. It just wouldn't sit right. Clamps and joins were poorly designed and once even slipped apart. BOV needs adapting as standard is a different shape flange. The eBay units just have a round hole that you need a silicon join for. You can keep the old tank but some of the fitment issue is caused by it. A smaller tank or better designed pipework will help.

Done two rocker covers on a friends classic. Jolly good fun.

Do you have a GOOD tracking Print out? and other questions.
If the steering wheel isn't straight then yes, that's tracking not being done properly. They've tracked the wheels straight but failed to align that with the steering wheel. In what way would you say it handles worse? Stiffer? Jerky?

It will feel harder as youve just fitted all new bushes and what not. I doubt thats from the tracking. In regards to it being similar to an Impreza, all foresters share many many parts from Impreza's. Sometimes it's easier to source parts by looking as if it's an Impreza. I think it's gonna be a case of getting used to how the car is again.

I will give £20 to the last person to post on this thread
Is it posted or collection only? I imagine the fuel cost are greater than reward for a lot of us 😂

Welcome to the club! I've noticed some insurers do a "quote". When you enter the registration it automatically fills in the estimated value box 😆 It doesn't take mileage or any other factors in of course. Could also have a look at the current market as getting a valuation now could go down as well as up in 6 months time.

Do you have a boost gauge? First thoughts are you're not getting full boost. Check all boost pipes for leaks. Any overheating or loss of water? Putting it on a dyno may help too. It'll show you boost and Afr. Plus gives you a power reading.

Broke my gearbox :(
During my gearbox hunt I found out my gearbox code can be substituted for an early bug gearbox so it's possible some bug versions fit. TY754VN1AA and TY754VN2AA are "Apparently" interchangable. VN1AA are found on late UK classics and VN2AA on early UK bugs.
