  1. It could be the release bearing or possibly spigot bearing.
  2. Its a doodle job and certainly worth saving labour cost. As has been said a few bits to take out the way first and it is fiddly but it'll teach you about your car. Just be careful not to cross thread them back in.
  3. Bonus in a way. Means you don't have to pay for a ecutek licence.
  4. OK, I'm not so aware of newer age cars and thier systems. Your one reminded me of what a Impreza hatch back system looks like.
  5. This is a set up I ruthlessly borrowed. It was designed for a classic so not sure if it will suffice your needs.
  6. Sounds like a boost pipe related issue. I was getting only actuated boost pressure at silverstone and with a few chats to many knowledgeable peeps it was decided that on the long corners I was getting oil surge and possibly having some oil up in the boost pipe blocking it momentarily. Check all pipes and if you have any silicon pipes you may not see it at idle but they could be sucking in on boost.
  7. Elephant and admiral are under the same company. Iirc diamond are also the same. You will notice thier quotation websites are the same. Strange but they offer different prices.
  8. Standard boost is 0.9bar. Safe boost is 0.9 bar without it being remapped for the extra boost due to possible fueling issues.
  9. Could be registered as a non turbo being an import. Bare it in mind. Insurers will look for any reason not to pay out. Could plead ignorance but prepare for a battle.
  10. Looks nice. Is that a uk300 spoiler on it?
  11. Did it not auto recognise the number plate? It's always hit and miss. My old import got recognised but my current UK Impreza doesn't get found by some systems. Apart from that it needs to be insured as it shows on the log book.
  12. Those are the cheap Chinese knock offs your mummy warned you about.
  13. Welcome to the club! Any mods on or future plans?
  14. I'd rate an uppipe more difficult and hassle than a rocker so it'll be a breeze.
  15. I've got a small stock pile for mine now Unplugged it, plugged it back in but code still stayed. Went away shopping came back and code had gone. Drove home without the code coming back. Guessing I'm in the early stages of maf fail
  16. It's certainly an experience. Just take your time and if it gets too frustrating walk away, have a brew and come back to it. Think I took 4 hours of !Removed! about walking back and forth. You get the cover back on then realise you've still got to refit the intake system 😅😅
  17. That'll do the job just as well. I didn't need to shift the engine. Just cleared the air filter set up. The cleaning of old sealant is difficult too.
  18. Easily a drive way job. Fiddly as hell and you'll fill the swear jar but get it up on ramps and you'll be fine. Most difficult part is getting the gasket to stay in place when refitting the cover. I used a little dab of grease to hold it steady. I'd recommend replacing all associated gaskets so plug seals, half moons and the rubbers for the bolts.
  19. First few posts. Ah OK, we just can't close the thread. My mistake.
  20. Discovered code 23...time for a new maf [emoji20] [emoji19]
  21. Ask for the calibration cert 😜
