  1. Nice to have a bit of work to do on them though.
  2. The top of the spring by the sound of it πŸ˜‚
  3. New shocks and springs don't necessarily break the bank but you could look for a local Subaru specialist breaker or check eBay for breaker cars.
  4. You're all just realising that compulsory ar$€hole attitude is bad for your health πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  5. Welcome to the club. Belt is always a good shout if no history. Feel free to chuck up some pics.
  6. What time are they doing that sav? I've got a rack end and geo set up being done in the morning. I fancy having it on the dyno again, see how it's all running.
  7. Depends where you are located. There are a few local meets dotted around the country.
  8. It would be worth far more in parts than selling as a whole car. If you do sell it whole you'd have to price it on the basis it needs a new engine. Regarding the new hg and now it's failed again(i presume from contaminated oil), if you had it done professionally at a workshop you could go back to them for advice. Have a look at the sales of goods and services act for more information but in very basic forms any work completed needs to last a reasonable length of time. 12 months isn't long enough dependant on mileage. If you feel hard done by and the act helps you, get in contact with trading standards. If you done it yourself or a mate unfortunately it's tough potatoes.
  9. πŸ˜ƒ Nice one. Tidy looking blob. How are you finding it compared to a classic?
  10. Don't need a pilots licence or nowt?
  11. Welcome to the club. Quite an impressive wingspan you got there.
  12. Paid £1350 for mine 😜
  13. There was a thread here explaining all the classic variations but I can't find it right now. Standard cars are hard to find especially low owners, low mileage and unmolested. You're almost looking for hens teeth.
  14. Welcome to the club! 2500 is a good budget. It could get you a reasonable classic. Middle ground mileage. Look for standard cars if possible. It's not always a rule but then you'll know that any work done is fresh.
  15. Fitted two new front tyres. Overdue to be fair. Passed mot with flying colours πŸ˜‰ I do need a steering rack end on one side though. Plan to get that before having the new tyres tracked and cambered.
  16. Check importcarparts.co.uk for filters. Oil filter, air filter and fuel filter is only Β£12.50 total for a classic and I doubt it's much more for you if any.
  17. Don't do it! You unleash too many opinions on oil [emoji33] [emoji23] [emoji23] Save the money on filters and stick it towards oil.
  18. Sounds like elite dangerous. Don't get aliens in that but very similar. If you're liking nms have a look at elite.
  19. I'll have to look to be 100% sure. Wheels are off Saturday for new tyres so will snap pics then.
  20. These are the late standard classic wheels that clear 4 pots. Disc size doesn't matter too much.
  21. It's to do with the offset and width of the wheel. Early cars were designed using 2 pot brakes so didn't need wider or a different offset. Later cars needed the extra space for the larger 4 pot. My standard wheels are 16 inch. Clears 4 pots.
  22. That's a good price for box and diff with postage. Dependant on condition of course.
