  2. Hi Scoot, welcome and what you're seeing seems to be fairly common and comes from blow by. I had it from new with my WRX STi (latest shape) and decided to fit an AOS (Air Oil Seperator) to avoid it happening. Since then I've got really clean pipes and nothing at all in the intercooler, so less chance of the oil affecting the fuel/burn. Plenty on the market with IAG seeming to be the most recommended in the US, although I decided on the Perrin (which needed a few mods for right hand drive UK model). Catch cans are always another option but they need manually emptying of oil where as the AOS goes directly back to the sump. Hope that helps... [emoji6] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Can't beat AS Performance, very knowledgable guys. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. Nope not just you, I'm 41 and similar [emoji12] sod growing up I'd rather enjoy life [emoji39] Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. I see from another thread you already bought the DS2500, and I'd be really interested to know how they go on the heavier STi. I used them for a good while on my S2000 and was very happy but got recommended they weren't up to scratch on the heavier WRX STi. In the end I bought two lots, one set of EBC Bluestuff NDX and PFC Z rated pads. The EBC are at best OK for normal use but crap on the track/fast road. I'm just about to fit some new discs and PFC Z's so I'll see what they are like. Be good to know what the DS2500's are like as a third option. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. Nice exactly the same as mine but I've got the dark grey wheels and update the HU to a Pioneer AVIC, way better [emoji39] Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. I love the GFB because you can turn it off most of the time and when you have a chav day/weekend can turn it back on [emoji12][emoji39][emoji12] Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. Just looked at the nameless exhaust and does look good price, and a partner with Cosworth, so I'd expect good quality. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  9. Considering Cobra, Hayward and Scott or Milltek for my new shape, around £800 to £1200 for cat back system that I can figure out. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  10. Welcome [emoji2] great car, you'll love every minute.. I do and 40,000 miles in already [emoji12] Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  12. You can't go wrong with Goodyear F1's in my experience. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Agreed really worth the extra in my opinion. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  14. BTW where did you get the boot hooks from as I need to get some ordered or mine? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  15. Quick observation from a fellow new STi driver, the fuel RON rating for the car is 98 or better so really only Shell 98 or Tesco Momentum 99. I've kept away from anything any less to be on the safe side. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  16. BTW I'm in Holmfirth/Huddersfield, so not exactly North Yorkshire [emoji14] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Looks amazing, but then I am biased I have exact same 2014/2015 model :-) any idea what the changes are from 2014 to 2017 model? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. That's Trax for you, not your usual track day crowd [emoji39] Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  19. I'd potentially be interested if I'm available [emoji6] Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  20. Sounds more like a tyre, tread, balancing problem than anything. What speed does it occur at and does it get worse the faster you drive? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  21. Bargain and great tyres, had them on my new Audi A6, made a massive difference. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  22. Nissan/Lichfield GTR R35 or RS6 Avant [emoji108] Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  23. Tyreleader and Oponeo are my two go to sites to check pricing. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  24. I'd agree with David I've had better luck in a front wheel drive car with winter tyres than other 4 wheel drive cars on summer, and have used summer tyres in summer and winter tyres in winter since, even when I got an AWD car. I don't think our AWD system will make any difference in stopping, only the rubber on the road will do that in winter when the temperature drops below about 7 degrees ish. To back this up I nearly put my new STi in a wall last winter a day after I changed back to summer tyres because I thought we'd seen the last of the winter weather. Wasn't driving fast just lost traction on all 4 wheels going up a hill and skid sideways into the kerb and then started sliding down the road. A few cars got past me including a van, but most if not all had either winter tyres or were big 4 wheel drives with off road tyres. Just my two pennies worth. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  25. Out of season tend to be cheaper in my experience, but I could be wrong. Have you looked at Oponeo ? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
