  1. Are you intending to do the repair yourself? - If not I would just take it to a body shop - you will be looking at circa £250 a side.
  2. You may get more of a response with a specific thread in the fozzy section as it could get buried here?
  3. Do you have any existing or planned modifications? Alloy wont rust like the original units but cheaper units may not cope with increased temp demands of a modded car
  4. Its GMInsight - drop him a PM http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/profile/4408-gminsite/?wr=eyJhcHAiOiJmb3J1bXMiLCJtb2R1bGUiOiJmb3J1bXMtY29tbWVudCIsImlkXzEiOjE0MTI1LCJpZF8yIjoxMDgwNDl9 He is also selling his motor
  5. liking that 100% guarantee + lifetime warranty stamp
  6. Wotcha and welcome - there is no event going on currently however compared to other forums we are quite new so why not use this thread to gauge interest. We have got a member who is very familiar with 'The Ring' and has got quite a few laps under his belt - dont know if he is up for a return visit so soon though?
  7. Pretty sure the braces are all the same fitment from 08 - 10 WRX, STI etc
  8. Looking at what was completed to this wrx the exhaust system replaced looks exactly the same as what is on my RX - so my initial research had covered WRX systems from cat back I think this is the system I was thinking of http://www.blitz-uk.co.uk/ProductItem-2515.aspx
  9. I will be going to Cobra sport as I want a full stainless option with a little more noise than standard, they come up less cost building a bespoke system than something like the Blitz or Hayward and Scott (If I find the link for the original system I wanted ill post it but Im sure it was close on 1k) - If I remember correctly they sorted Stants out ok when he needed something for his Foz
  10. I used some of these for under bonnet and mudguard mounting but they might be too big - check the dimensions against what you have? http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_odkw=panel+trim+pins&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.Xpanel+trim+pins+subaru.TRS0&_nkw=panel+trim+pins+subaru&_sacat=0
  11. Will you be getting another Scooby?
  12. might be placebo affect but throttle response feels slightly smoother (teh filter I replaced was quite black as well though) - I am expecting improvements when I replace the exhaust for a freer flowing alternative then get it tuned to match the intake and exhaust changes - wont be huge mpg or acceleration to be gained but looking for optimum NA performance without manufacturers risk tolerances for rubbish fuel etc (eg this engine has to perform in all conditions on all continents)
  13. Try the same process as deactivating them - it may just be a logic toggle - on the 08+ models it is by use of ignition switch to lock or acc then press trip knob to show "S-on" or "S-off" on the odometer
  14. tidy motor - some great mods - good luck with the sale
  15. Wotcha and welcome - hopefully an XV owner will be along to share the info
  16. as stated all speedos are slightly out - I cannot remember if yours is an electrical pick up or gear and cable feed so could be worn gear or resistance of wiring breaking down slightly
  17. either of those filters is fine - just fitted a K&N - doesn't have oil on or come with oil in box for this model - Other K&N's I have had did come with oil though. The RX does roll more than the STi I had - It improved with new tyres (HL rated) and also with the spacers, I will be considering the strut race just to make make a square out of the front end and firm it all up as a structure The lowering springs pictured in the other thread do give a nice amount of drop. Not sure the front spoiler addon will fit the RX due to shape of bottom of valence, but if you have bad speed bumps locally it may not stay attached for too long
  18. Looks great not too low - Did you use WRX lowering springs in the end?
  19. Wotcha and welcome - keep us posted on your progress
  20. Wotcha and welcome - Im sure someone will be along with a suggestion although I know there are a couple of modification lists contained within some of the threads - in the interim check out some of the build threads as they may have similar mods to yours and will provide the answer. Have you high flow fuel pump and air filter fitted also?
  21. Wotcha and welcome - feel free to get stuck in share photos of your progress etc, do love a hatch me
  22. pictures often help with the sale also, do you have any you could post?
  23. I would do it myself as I have jacks, stands, sockets etc - sorry I wouldn't know what a garage would charge
