  1. Wotcha and welcome - that will have used the original spoiler mounting points
  2. You could put some STI or standard WRX brakes on then sell the Pro R calipers on to recoup some of the cost.
  3. Wotcha and welcome - do you need new discs and pads? if not put some money aside for when you do. As Gambit said its a nice upgrade to have
  4. pros and cons to both have you had a turbo before if so you may find the sport a little slow but they still handle well
  5. hopefully busy up to his elbows in engines
  6. Wotcha and welcome - keep us updated on the progress ;)
  7. Dr Frankenfurter in da house :D
  8. great to hear it is beating expectations and the interior change does sound like a good move vets like farmers do tend to bring their work inside with them :D
  9. - had that scenario years ago - just managed to divert the well intentioned hand
  10. I share the others concerns about you driving with no pads - not clever. Did you have the car towed back, were the front two wheels locked onto a tow device, if so that may have damaged the transmission. Other than that it does sound like you have damaged the hub
  11. This was covered in a bike mag this month ok so its not Teng or Snap on but it is a great offer considering they will replace anything broken over the life of the tool - eg 200 piece tool set for £150 http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/categorydisplay_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_categoryId_255215_langId_-1
  12. Wotcha and welcome can only find the standard 2.5l vs wrx and STI's the basic model does differ from the sports ones - but you could probably make one fit as it just appeared to be thickness of the rad which was different
  13. looking good Pete - nice mod
  14. Wotcha and welcome - yup go for breakers or on ebay you can get a whole bottle (with cap) from 99p
  15. way hay - did you purchase a torch at the same time :D
  16. all a good learning curve ;)
  17. Wotcha and welcome - couldn't help you with that one unfortunately hopefully one of our legacy / outback members will be along to point you in the right direction
  18. fingers crossed its just the fuses but worst case you could have damaged the ECU
  19. I like them
  20. a bit of washing up liquid in some water and a spray gun will be a basic tool for checking just look for bubbles - check all your clamps are done up tight and if the pipes are all original it might be worth considering replacing them with aftermarket items
  21. could be rusty bores as well... :(
  22. Try some springs from a same year legacy
  23. Jay762 replied to Husky11's topic in General Subaru Chat
