  1. echo Stants statement - it appears to be a personal thing - looking at a 330 type option for yourself could be good - hi flow panel filter eg Cosworth just as long as its oil free that is fine, fuel pump RCM's are getting better feedback currently than Walbro, intake pipe samco, zero sports prodrive etc, rear silencer and remap here is an example of prodrive option http://www.subarupartsstore.co.uk/product/Impreza_WRX_STI_2.5_2008_-_onwards_Performance_Pack_SACC2811
  2. I like the idea of the supercharger - it is something different and the flat engine layout seems ideal to have a beast bolted to the top - that could be for the next project thread though ;)
  3. Wasnt TLag selling his Leggy TT a while back? might be worth touching base with him as that was a nice example with a known maintenance plan and good money... here is the original ad http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/topic/7560-subaru-legacy-gtb-twin-turbo-prodrive/
  4. Wotcha and welcome - the photos may be deceptive but it looks to me like you will need a bit of plate as well as some welding rods - is it worth it - up to you what condition is the rest of the car in if it is all solid with good running gear then why not get it sorted??
  5. that was a short lived experience
  6. nightmare - not what you need at all
  7. nightmare - fingers crossed its a loose coil connection or two
  8. Wotcha and welcome - plenty of well kept motors on this forum potentially takers on the discounted sales
  9. Wotcha and welcome!!
  10. found the same ditch twice - hefty chortle my nissan 200sx had a sump rot - its because they dont leak oil from the gasket like a lot of older cars :)
  11. Wotcha and welcome - In also had a 200sx in that colour - mine had the rectangular indicators and far less power - circa 220 bhp, still hung the back end out though :P
  12. Wouldnt worry - I didnt know who he was until you mentioned him :P
  13. very nice - looks good - awesome front end very agressive ;)
  14. they do idle lumpy
  15. yup I would try and check from inside first
  16. not on this forum - you guys have all invested in something new - there will be hiccups, the RS has had years of development behind it so there is no point in hanging on to something that you are not enjoying going back to what you know is good is a no brainer. what I do like to see in these situations is the dealer support / response and it all sounds very positive where the issues have been presented to them
  17. Yup you are in one of the better places to have a Subaru failure get yourself along to Sheffield Subaru
  18. yup I think you will looking at chassis changes before drive train for serious track fun - suspension, ARB's brakes etc
  19. As Dog said sounds like a sports setup would be a better option for you or dependant on mods the car has a standard wrx clutch would be enough
  20. never heard of it let us know how you get on with it
  21. Wotcha and welcome - AWD for winter sounds like a smart approach to me ;) feel free to get stuck into the forum we have quite a few legacy owners - always keen to see other peoples motors so dont be camera shy :)
