Impreza hatch/wagon - lower control arm issue re SU31)
Keep it polite but persistant, if no joy from your local contacts go for the regional expaling how happy you are with the Subaru product and ownership but dissappointed at the response to a potentially fatal failure etc etc oh also - wotcha and welcome - keep us posted of progress

e-Petition - motorsports venue, noise complaints
So if you knowingly move next to a motor sports venue don't then complain about the noise - this petition is designed to put a mandatory no complaints clause into any contracts for individuals moving to or renting accommodation close to motor sports venues who might then decide to complain about the noise. If you support this follow the link and sign the petition - if not, no drama that is your democratic right ;) http://www.britcar24hr.co.uk/home/hm-government-issue-e-petition-mandatory-noise-complaint-waiver/

Hello All.
Wotcha and welcome
-
Hi too all
Wotcha and welcome - love that colour we have had another member recently join with a hawk in that colour he is looking at changing the wheels, yours shows what it would look like with the Prodrive option - nice
-
Another rare scoob
lovely stuff - what I like about these type of motors are a lot of them have specs that can be copied so you can have the same performance trim and handling etc albeit without the badge but all the benefits

Newbie to scooby
Wotcha and welcome Nick - you should get a serious piece of kit for that money potentially a widetrack STI blobeye - but that may mean waiting for the right one to come along, the one thing I will say is be prepared to travel for the right car. Those cars both look tidy on the face of it Prodrive packs vary dependant on model but can involve a remap, back box, high flow filter, possibly a high flow fuel pump, uprated antiroll bars. They were dealer options in UK but you can buy the packs yourself to modify an original and then get a remap a couple of widetracks as examples - the black one would have some wiggle room on cost http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2006-SUBARU-IMPREZA-STi-v9-Spec-DCCD-WIDETRACK-www-powerplay-uk-com-/231437348430?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item35e2bdae4e http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2004-SUBARU-IMPREZA-STI-PPP-305bhp-WIDETRACK-AMAZING-CONDITION-/111539135670?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item19f84024b6 and if you are going to Cheshire motors you'll get to check this one out as well http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2005-Subaru-Impreza-2-0-WRX-STI-Type-UK-WIDETRACK-DCCD-STAGE-1-333-BHP-/251687698252?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item3a99c17f4c

hi from the iom
Wotcha and welcome Karl - lovely motor that - great colour, I agree with the wheel change, those don't look to fill the arches very well - feel free to get involved with the rest of the forum and keep a camera handy for any work you do complete, we like a photo here :D

Top Gear returns to the TV
Watched part two last night - I get the impression the number plate had little to do with it and was just the excuse for mob activity organised in advance.
-
Top Gear returns to the TV
We checked the plate and it is indeed uk registered as the porsche it was on so whilst initially sceptical can not blame them for something that looks on the face of it to be unintentional - haven't watched part two yet.

Need some advice
cant go wrong with either car - but the Scooby will be an easier day to day car as Stants recommended get a test drive in both and make your choice based on that
-
just saying hello really
Wotcha and welcome - quite a few members have second sets of wheels with winter tyres - depends if you have the storage for them, where it is a legal requirement in Germany for cars to be fitted with winter tyres, you can source 16inch steel wheels and winter hoops for about £500 shipped. For that money and to avoid accidental damage to my alloys I would get some. I didnt get on with all season tyres as I never found them good enough in either winter or summer scenario - too much of a compromise between the two - but then again that will always be subject to individual driving style
