  3. Great to have you back with us Adam (although we knew you hadn't gone far) ;)
  4. Wotcha and welcome
  5. I contacted them when mine was close to expiring, sent the money in and asked for a new one to be issued - it then went back and forth as they wanted a new photo - I pointed out my head had not changed in the last 10 years and that they should just issue a new piece of plastic - sensibility reigned in the end ;)
  6. There are pictures in a thread somewhere - got to log off soon but have a search through the forum as I know this has been answered before
  7. only time I could see that being needed was if you were driving in sand all the time but your bearings would need replacing before hand. I would be interested to see any internet sites with that statement if your mate has them
  8. Wotcha and welcome - yup photobucket will work - just paste the 'IMG' field into the post
  9. something to save for??
  10. Great to hear you got to running properly again - easy fix
  11. it does for increasing performance ;) - there are tumble generator valves on some engines also but I believe they are controlled from the ECU
  12. the valve controller reference is an Idle air control valve, not the intake or exhaust valves, as you correctly say these are activated by the belts http://www.amazon.co.uk/Idle-Air-Control-Valve-22650AA192/dp/B00LN28FWO where as the boost controller controls how much pressure builds up in your intake system http://www.amazon.co.uk/Subaru-Impreza-Manual-Boost-Controller/dp/B001MMY87Q please note these links are for illustration purposes I am not recommending them or the source
  13. vast improvement, they look great
  14. sorry buddy cant help you with that one
  15. Bud with wrapping the choice is yours and everyone has a different opinion - I prefer darker hues in those colours so purple or blue for me it would be dark
  16. Wotcha and welcome - I did the research with just those parameters / requirements - the MPS was initially the first choice as we were driving a Mazda 3 series sport at the time but it comes out shocking from a driving perspective - you will be fighting it up the road. The Focus is a better choice over the mazda but take an STi for a test drive back to back against a Focus - ensure you are in S# mode, sells itself let us know how you get on - and the smile, it gets sort of permanent ;)
  17. He does do discount for increased numbers so the more booked in the lower the price will be
  18. awww getting excited now - get your video camera out lets hear that burble :)
  19. a good price - a photo or two may help with the sale
  20. Wotcha and welcome - as above - keep us posted
  21. put the cone filter back on and see if it runs like previously - did it have a maf with the cone filter, is it running a standard map?
  22. Jay762 replied to mfnick's topic in Subaru Car Care
never heard of it - would be useful (as you say) if someone can provide some feedback
  23. Wotcha and welcome - yup throw that one over to Dog
  24. as said before its your car so if you want go for it - Im more for the minimal look - the pipes under the rear bumper speak volumes ;)
