  1. Wotcha and welcome - any chance you could post a vid??
  2. It will certainly reach the owners - dealers only tend to contribute on here with discounts and special events, it would be nice to get some advice from them but not so far
  3. As Gambit said - hopefully it will go to someone who can put in the spanner time
  4. or a closed deck EJ20 for future tuning potential
  5. Wotcha and welcome - love your member name for a scooby forum :D We do have some Forrester owners on here so they may be able to help advise
  6. Are you going to do a before and after video so we can hear the sound difference???
  7. Subaru specified for my 18's normal load Fr 33 Rr 28 max load Fr 35 Rr 35
  8. It is a great example as you said - good luck with the sale
  9. Looking good!! yeah that will be the blows from the hammer
  10. NIce - a simple resolution for a change!!
  11. depends on budget but if you are looking for an NA engine go for a EJ2.5 then put a 2.6 stroker kit in before you fit - stacks of torque
  12. Nice wheels - good luck with the sale - an absolute bargain for someone!!
  13. That is a smart looking vehicle - and IMO if you cant have the power sort the handling and weight and then you save on brake pads by cornering like its on rails :D
  14. Lichfield are recommending 18's as a min for tweaked STI's and I know at least one other member is running 19's in the summer so as long as the rolling radius is not changed 19's should be fine - there are some comments around about the track width being affected on older Subarus leading to handling difficulties but havent come across anything for new age and the STI track is wider then the wrx anyway
  15. nice idea addressing flow at both ends :P wrt to the wheels - my 2p drifters etc are giving it stacks in a controlled environment where things are de risked to a certain degree, individuals behind barriers and themselves inside strengthened cars if they have a failure it can be contained if you are doing 70 on a dual track or motorway and you get a stress fracture it is harder to contain and the ramifications can be greater due to the surrounding environment. Also if they dont fit spot on with the car you have, there could be undue stressed on your bearings and hubs - you have spent a lot of money on a great car, I dont think it is worth it.
  16. Yes it was longlife / cardiff exhausts I was thinking of http://www.longlifecaerphilly.co.uk/
  17. Have done some digging and all the references that I can find state 5x114 for the STI from 2005
  18. Jay762 replied to Chris1's topic in General Subaru Chat
Get a good set of pictures posted online - also it will be a longer term thing but start attending some classic car shows where potential collectors frequent
  19. Better see how long you would last - I was 24 hours http://uk.movies.yahoo.com/movie/world-war-z/would-you-survive-a-global-disaster-survival-survey/ 73.3% on this one http://zomboid.com/zombie/
  20. Just as long as there are no ruffled feathers along the way dont want to be faced with this at the end of a journey :D
  21. Excellent thanks Adam Is this pertinent to EJ20 and EJ25or just EJ20?
  22. This has stemmed from another thread - thought I would start a separate discussion though. Is overheating and subsequent failure on No.4 cylinder a common issue on EJ20 or EJ25 engines and if so how would it be prevented on: a. standard open engine blocks b. semi closed engine blocks c. closed engine blocks - although I am assuming it does not affect the closed blocks at all
