  1. 10k but as Mandy states with the potential for meets etc I can see that going up
  2. looks tidy thats for sure
  3. Result!! :)
  4. Havent swapped on a scooby myself yet, as you change the turbo follow the lines back - getting the replacement parts before hand will give you an idea of exactly how much you are dealing with length wise. Pictures online for the braided hose kit show only a small pipe with banjo bolts so if you can get to the turbo you shouldnt have a problem
  5. No problem buddy - keep us posted on the progress and we do like photo's on here so if you get some stick them in a thread :)
  6. Hi - welcome to the forum. As it is a bearing you may be able to get it rebuilt if you can find someone to take the job on. Considering the price of the Subaru part I would look to replace it with a solid drive shaft and remove the bearing altogether, even if it was made bespoke for you by a local firm it would probably be cheaper as a carbon fibre version for the impreza comes in at $1000 - given that an aluminium one should be less.
  7. You should be able to - contact DVLA
  8. Hi I believe the pump is an intank version - I dont know about how difficult it is to remove the axle on that model though sorry
  9. It annoys me Audi make good looking cars, although they are all looking the same now! Audi were the first car I remember seeing with daytime running lights? I remember seeing volvo's having the side lights on as a daylight running light, used to constantly be flashed by other motorists who thought they had left them on by mistake
  10. H Azz85, not much detail about the car, mileage service history etc but... I would say that is the turbo bearing is going / gone, so will need a rebuild also swap out the oil supply and return lines if you do not know the history of the car as turbo's can fail due to oil starvation as over time if the engine is not cooled sufficiently oil can boil off in the lines going solid / crystallizing and reducing the flow to the bearing less likely is oil coming past the valve seats or if your overall performance has dropped possibly piston rings due to lack of seal and oil being forced past the piston rings - check compression but with piston rings going the engine could start to sound rough
  11. I think unintentionally I lifted the reverse gear block, and went into reverse gear at 90mph, .......yes unfortunately that would do it :o hope it does not impact your social funds too much
  12. Yup agree - those rims are just the touch!
  13. Japanese finish a little dull... check this out http://www.carlexdesign.com/galeria/ Impreza Forester
  14. Came across this, aggressive front end - not sure about the hind quarters looks a little too Toyota or is that just me ? Whole article... http://www.carscoops.com/2013/02/future-cars-crystal-ball-gazing-new.html
  15. Yup full PPP for that model which is the intercooler inlet flow, fuel pump, chip remap and ss sports exhaust- it also had a carbon front splitter and rear window spoiler not sure if this is standard or PPP though???
  16. Came across this - has anyone attended before or planning to attend this year? http://www.traxshows.co.uk/
  17. Price is near enough maybe a little high for the mileage, I was looking recently and found the same example in sliver with 26K on the clock for the same money from a dealer - its been sold now otherwise I would have posted the link
  18. Very nice motor indeed - hope you can find it a new home
  19. that looks really tidy - hope it goes for what you want for it
  20. That would work well
  21. Yup much improved without the graphics, not sure spraying the intake black would work - I would go with all black or all silver for the bonnet
  22. Nice - sounds great, what engine is in the red one as it looks a lot smaller with the exhaust from a 1.4?
  23. done some asking around and no one I know has come across that - a couple of other types of gearbox failure but not that one
