  1. definitely something to look forward to getting away from the French product back to Japanese ;)
  2. Wotcha and welcome :) great looking car - like the rear bumper spoilers in contrasting black, nice touch.
  3. Wotcha and welcome Tom :) that is a clean example - great job!
  4. That save was awesome - definitely adrenaline state brown :o Oh and welcome to the owners club Lee :)
  5. Sorry chum I'm a bit further north than that
  6. ahhhh I see - no excuse for cubes that's for sure
  7. !Removed! ell - that's 36 - 43 psi that is quite the boost level got this table from another scooby site - it is for standard models though giving fuel cut out levels etc
  8. no such thing as daft question - always better to check I say nice set of mods there but they wouldn't up the boost just air flow in and out of engine plus ensure enough fuel to provide right mixture with increased flow rate. As Gambit has mentioned have a check by the turbo to see if there is any form of boost controller attached
  9. Yes agree those mods, although cosmetic, do compliment an already great car
  10. Wotcha and welcome Gaz - nice ride, very subtle
  11. jeez - just watched that vid, or alternatively if you really want to do that you could just change the actuator setting, stronger spring higher boost required to open wastegate - what a con!
  12. Wotcha and welcome :) the speedo bouncing may not necessarily be the cable as it could be the wheel turning the cable is missing some teeth check the other end as well before changing the cable as it may not fix it 1.75 bar is about 25 psi which I would say is high for a standard car - I would expect about 0.8 - 1 on boost Is it constantly sat at 1.75 or is that what it tops out at when on boost? There is will be an over boost protection on the car which may be linked to the check engine light - that I would expect to be set at 1.2 or so for a standard car which would hold the engine back to protect it To turn boost down you can adjust the actuator which sets what pressure the turbo will be allowed spool up to - simple device uses a spring and lever, when pressure exceeds spring tension valve opens and stops over pressurisation hope this helps but I could do with a few more details about the tune of the car, service history, engine mods etc
  13. Wotcha and welcome :) that shouldn't be a problem - should go straight on.
  14. That negative camber really makes the car look like it means business!
  15. I like it - would probably split mine in two and have the one part with the address on the back of the car and the logo on each side
  16. I spend money on parts with two things in mind - how will I be using it and will it give me peace of mind There is nothing wrong with halfords and europarts kit and they do the job for a lot of people however you do own a particularly choice piece of kit (http://www.autotrader.co.uk/used-cars/subaru/impreza/used-subaru-impreza-p1-4wd-2dr-oldham-fpa-201142423014485) I believe Subaru quoted the P1 as having 280BHP which is not a small amount of power if things start to fail. I would get a quote from a main dealer for the belt and kit then compare to a reputable scooby spares dealer who specialise in these engines. but for me I would spend £155 and go for a kevlar reinforced item from cosworth - but then I would get peace of mind Just Subaru - Revolution service parts link - belt at £99 http://www.just-subaru.com/servicing-parts-classic-69085-0.html scooby world kit http://www.scoobyworld.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=47_292&products_id=2042 Cosworth belt http://lateralperformance.co.uk/product.php/190/90/cosworth_kevlar_timing_belt
  17. Wotcha and welcome :) The type of belt you go for will obviously impact that as well - eg cosworth kevlar one is more expensive than your bog standard item
  18. yup looking good - those rims do set it off
  19. My mum loves her civic - she has got the 2.0 vti version, to be fair it looks like yours but with alloys and a spoiler so you could probably do some mods at a modest price from some salvage places. Its a lot of car for a low price
  20. What you mean that's not you in the photo!!!  ;)
