  1. I would use this oil for your motor - interestingly I had never heard of this brand and was using Millers as a UK manufacturer, I now discover this brand located a couple of miles away from me.
  2. Wotcha and welcome - dont know the car myself but the milltek exhaust is not a cheap piece of kit
  3. Initial positioning of the panel OCD much Convenient hole for wiring adding trim to protect wiring Trim trimmed Starting to wire the fuse panel to the relay panel green yellow will go from being the original 12v feed for the Subaru fuel pump to being the relay trigger voltage Now adding the fuse supply 12v main feed to fuse and relay inputs and outputs plus the -ve relay outputs installed Fuses and relays in place In preparation for the loom connection - x3 wires into a bullet crimp Connecting heavier cable for the 12v supply - the crimps in the fuse panel and relay were not big enough to take the larger gauge even though they are all individually rated to 40A Extending the existing loom Used some of these heat gun solder things for the first time instead of messing with soldering irons - they work well but practice first as it is not as easy as the spam videos make out wrapping the new loom Final underseat with cables in a shroud post wrapping Routed up c pillar into boot space More electrical string - earth cables for pumps 2 & 3 in place Terminated the main 12v battery feed to a fuse purely as I needed to get x3 feeds out - all of the bus bars I looked at were too big - one I did order that came through was 15cm long!! Board in situ time to start connecting All in place, wiring wrapped and put in shrouds then routed appropriately, pumps 2 & 3 connected, couple of additional holes drilled to rout cabling through, this will hold cables in place to stop any potential strain on the fuse / relay panel etc Panel cut, trimmed and replaced - unfortunately the hole I cut is slightly too big, I just could not get the thing in place to get accurate markings, a bit of black rubber behind will sort it but in all honesty I will probably replace it in the future with one from a breakers and will be able to mark and cut a perfect hole. I also re routed the 12v pump feeds out of the way and secured with tie wraps which made fitting the foam piece easier. Everything back in place Now onto the fuel lines...
  4. It can for the inner one, the outer ones I have had split only throw it more up the inside of the wheel
  5. With it being original - what are you looking for, OEM Subaru, good aftermarket eg Cobra, individual build (eg Powerflow franchise)?
  6. Didnt think the pin code would be impacted by a jump start - ECU possibly but not the alarm. You are def sure you are putting the right pin code in, not for your cashpoint card. Once battery charged try reconnecting and starting, being disconnected may have given it time to drain and reset any alarms
  7. Here you go - loads of info here as well as in the thread http://www.cars101.com/subaru/vin.html
  8. Do these colours match? The top middle feed is the main +12v supply
  9. Yup not the car to buy if fuel consumption is a concern
  10. Wotcha and welcome - I can believe the manhours statement
  11. yup as above sounds like a very small leak dripping on something hot
  12. Go for a sigma s30 alarm - I know sigma are Subaru OEM but I have also had them in other cars as aftermarket fits, far superior to Clifford which after two purchases I would never use again, so unreliable
  13. Not heard of there being issues with the gearbox however if it is fine once you get it selected it will be the mechanism not the gearbox
  14. Possible - depends on unit. can you post some photos
  15. rear pistons prone to corrosion, my RX has developed a squeak so will need a refurb in a while
  16. Here you go these guys will see you right and use our discount code SUBOC https://www.opieoils.co.uk/
  17. actually was on cruise control for most of it but selected sport mode instead of i and that really helped, the default i mode I never found to be the best option for fuel economy
  18. It will all depend on what your driving style is and also urban vs open. On a run in a Hatch STi managed 48mpg mostly dual carriageway and motor way fully loaded, family onboard bags etc On another run without being fully loaded I managed 12mpg
  19. Found out (After several years of ownership) the steering wheel adjustment is not only up and down but in and out as well!!! 😲😲😲
  20. We found it you looked at a car that was more expensive - eg 4-5K it was cheaper insurance than the same car valued at 800 - 900. Just seen you are London based as well which wont help with the risk weighting
  21. Cant see how you will get what you want - cheap insurance on a turbo car with only just passed your test. Have seen my lad jump through hoops, black boxes etc for a mitsubishi colt 1.3. still 1k plus insurance Not sure you would even get classic car insurance. Only thing I would suggest is get one for a track car or if you really want a subaru look at a 1.5 engine but whilst you have the AWD it will not be as nice to drive as a smaller car with lighter weight that you can afford to insure
  22. not the fuel pump, as soon as you touch the exhaust with the higher flowing panel up front that is when I suggest you get the map done
  23. I currently have a DW https://www.tarmacsportz.co.uk/wrx-sti-deatschwerks-fuel-pumps.html These chaps are Edinburgh based https://trackformula.co.uk/product-category/fluid-transfer-solutions/fuel-pumps-filters-regulators-other/
