  1. cut another hole in my bonnet - change of direction with catches.
  2. As above sounds like an earth issue Also check the main loom connection is seated correctly
  3. you will need to trim some off the tie rod ends as you are in a narrow body compared to the sti
  4. agree - I use independent who is very familiar with scoobs or do it myself
  5. never had that - to loose all steering leads me to believe your rack has broken some how, if the pump had gone the steering would be heavy but still there, some teeth missing somewhere and knowing how robust the rack is I would suggest pinion has failed silver lining - upgrade to 15+ rack for faster steering ratio
  6. Yes the pMaxKote, was doing a comparison between the Mahle option and King, like the idea of the coating and the increased oil way. looking forward to seeing how that new turbo performs
  7. That is a clean motor - good luck with the sale
  8. Jay762

    Mot

    fingers crossed then
  9. Wotcha and welcome - I don't know the answer but do know with the use of a very cheap resistor you can leave the wheel airbag unplugged if it does cause an isse
  10. Did you have a figure in mind or just looking for some one to take on a project?
  11. Wotcha and welcome - keep a camera handy and feel free to start a build thread
  12. Did you go for the new coated King bearings?
  13. Wotcha and welcome. Could be your top mount broken, tyres worn, bent arms (although they should have picked that up when tracking)
  14. You may find this useful as well https://www.1010tires.com/Tools/Wheel-Offset-Calculator
  15. Just seen a post on the book of faces about a tuning company in the US (Boosted Performance Tuning) that has managed to get 500whp (At the wheels) on a 2019 sti with stock internals. The turbo was replaced along with supporting mods there but the tune has x3 key factors: 1. The 2019 sti comes with 'stronger pistons' 2. Running E85 mix 3. The tune has been done sensibly with very little torque generated low down in the rev range so the stock internals are not over stressed, higher up the range full power is dialled in.
  16. most probably et55 https://www.wheel-size.com/size/subaru/impreza/2001/
  17. yes also cannot remember did you flush the brake fluid with DOT 5.1
  18. Ok - so it looks like 400bhp without a rebuild will be high risk and probably short lived
  19. Any of the seals could be gone but also check for corrosion on teh right had side of the heat ex-changer behind bumper
  20. Wotcha and welcome - sorry your intro to the forum is not great. It could be coming from a couple of different areas front and back of the engine so I would suggest getting a torch out when the engine is running and see if you can see anything. I wouldn't recommend thrashing it TD Racing is not too far from you and they have a wealth of knowledge about scoobs http://tdracing.co.uk/
  21. Great to hear - looking good there 👍
  22. Might be worth checking the CS400 spec as a reference, 330 340 on standard sti internals is pretty reliable so as Tidgy has mentioned you may be looking at some upgraded internals
  23. ooooohhhh the anticipation 😁
