I had both front drop links replaced and knew it wasn't the D bushes as it had just passed mot ........ turned out to be the passenger shock!
Check the shocks for signs of oil, mine started off with abit of misting which caused a knock and one one horrid pot hole later the oil completely went

I use one of these on my hatchback with no problems :) i have replaced the metal ended car straps for the dun-bell type as i didn't want to chip paint ect

Got mine In the post today, can't imagine a previous owner would fail to get something like brake lines sorted 😕
My nearest garage is between an hour to hour half away which sucks
James
Id wait out and check your insurance prices year by yearto see if you can afford a real scooby! I got an Rx hatch after crashing my suzuki as I couldn't afford insurance on a turbo one and honestly after the new car rush wore off I wish I had waited another year for a turbo one!
I love scoobys hole heartedly but NA imprezas are not there greatest achievement much better value and horse power for the money out there 😁

So i had my Mot on Monday and it fail due to excessive play in the rear anti roll bar D mounts ...... so as you do you ask how much its going to cost ect and this is where its gets interesting!
My garage phoned local parts stores Motor supplies Weston and Mills auto parts and both said there was absolutely nothing on there system which they thought was strange but went along with it and decided to phone Subaru direct to source the mounts ......... and they said exactly the same :O
Anyone else had this with any other Impreza parts?
They have managed to find some mounts on Ebay we are 95% sure are correct but im having to buy them to see! Thankfully they have temp fixed it with some antiroll bar tape to get it passed
James
No real gains from remapping a 1.5NA impreza your need to full exhaust and manifold and better air intake to gain any decent bhp from a remap also NA parts arnt the easiest to come by i dont think!
The Mazda on the other hand ..... lots of bolt on parts and rwd drifty fun can be had :D
my choice would be MX5 over impreza at this stage

Put fuel in after being on the light for 2days :(
In my defence i was seeing how many miles i could get out a tank ....... fuel light + £50 fuel = 299.7 miles! car says i managed 29.1mpg
James
Proof is a massive thing! find out who built it and give them a ring, most places will give you the low down on the car / build.
Having a forged build is a massive asset to these hatches as they commonly suffer chocolate pistons.
James
I have a 2008 impreza RX non turbo hatch and well fuel consumption never gets above 32mpg i average 26-28mpg on a monthly basis!
truth being said i couldn't afford insurance on a WRX or STi so went for this but i feel short done by now as it lacks power but still drinks fuel like a turbo haha
As for the car and engine ..... solid and reliable for sure, non of the dreaded chocolate pistons :P
James
Do not go with tesco! worst ever for claims and will not pay out at all if they dont have to! just look at there reviews :( wish i had they were awful when i needed them.
Ive found admiral and elephant excellent when it comes to insurance on my non turbo hatch :) i pay £74 month ..... 5yrs NCB, 25yrs old, 7years full license, 1 crash and cancelled/voided insurance.
As above comments say shop around to high heavens to get best deal :)
