    How about MAF's and their removal via the use of after market ECU. They are a known weak point so typicly get removed and MAP sensor used.

  6. keep it off boost and under 3k rpm till its mapped, sounds like the ecu is doing its damdest to stop the engine going boom.

  10. i picked up my 2.5 converted type r today. mines a 2.5 closed deck converted block, sti 5 heads, sti5 inlet manifold. dont think mines got any sort of adaptor plates, i'll have a nosey tomorrow in the light

  13. first off what gearbox is going in it? at 400bhp a 2.5 will be headed toward 450ftlb and a 5 speed box is just gonna shat itself.
  14. they work on all subarus mate, so wont be that. i suspect there isnt an easy way to do it with the software they have short of putting a syvecs on it.

  19. was it a steady drive or did you give it some hammer? sounds daft but if the gasket is gone near the turbo it will only be on boost it leaks

  24. sniff test isn;t just stickign your hooter in teh cap lol all mikey taking aside, sniff test uses a chemical to test for exhaust gases in the coolant. First thing i would check in the circumstances.
