  1. so, after some contemplation and ongoing discussions decided to change engine options. Origional plan was 2.1 closed deck block, but decided to go down the 2.5 route. Being a road car the low down grunt of the 2.5 will make it alot more responsive and at 450bhp 450+ftlb its gonna make an epic road engine :-)
  2. Check your tyre pressures as a start. Friends was under inflated and found steering heavy.
  3. As above, sounds like its been mapped. Can always pop down and see the boys at engine tuner to put it on the dyno and give it a health check. but ppp is roughly 265 at the crank iirc so sounds about right
  4. this recall gets bigger and bigger, must be 50million cars listed to be sorted.

panel filter unless you plan to have it mapped
  6. If insurance clock it your buggered basicly. Need to get it changed over by the DVLA to read correct, then insure to suit
  7. welcome :)

tbh sounds like they are fobbing you off, might be worth a call to suabru UK, see what they have to say
  9. my old classic on a v34
  10. Scoobyclinic sourced and built it for me, straight cut whine, and i really mean whine hahaha
  11. http://www.scoobynet.com/subaru-parts-451/1025052-prodrive-big-brake-kit-alcon-reduced.html might be an option
  12. hehe, this was catastrofic. Bits stopped the box turning lol trailored all the way from isle of mann back to chesterfield lol
  13. Personaly i'd prob stay clear of them. Kit i had had a dealy between main and full beam where the lights went off :o dunno if thats the specific kit i had or not.
  14. Very much an argued area lol Very few mappers i would trust with my car, Pat Herborn, Andy Forrest, paul blamare (sp) and engine tuner. Wouldn't trust anyone else.
  15. tbh not huge amount of difference in but VF34 is the better turbo. Could always go for a SC36 billet, 360bhp and will outspool 35 and 34, but more money
  16. TBH your best bet will be pick a tuner and get them to spec it up based on budget. 400bhp setup right will be a faster car than 450 mismatched. Some can custom build cars to to suit or sources cars for you. A reliable 450bhp is gonna need plenty of supporting mods so it's not gonna be cheap.
  17. stripped 3rd gear of all its teeth hahahaha had a ppg straight cut box in it, o what a sound :D
  18. righto,,,,, hahahaha Nah all joking aside really does depend on budget. Isle of man is no speed limit over the mountain, did end up liek this though lol
  19. TBH i'm not sure i'd bother. I did pads, disks and lines and they still gave up the ghost on the isle of mann in less than an hour. cheapest option i would entertain is D2 6 pot, but for the price difference i'd just say sod it and get the AP's godspeed has on offer. £1250 for a 330mm 6 pot full kit, also pretty sure ian said they go under 17's.
  20. Welcome, looks pretty tidy
  21. If its nto mapped for the front moutn and decat it will cause problems. Could be the maf but i suspect more to it than that.
  22. Welcome. I expect its the dump valve casuing it. can you take it off and see if its improived without it? Has the car been mapped at all?
  23. cant see a pic mate? but for the mods def needs mapping so expect thats your problem. I would advise against driving it till its sorted, or at the very least keep it off boost and under 3k rpm. Can do catastrofic damage to your engine if maps wrong
