  2. Possibly, i just went to yee horses mouth lol
  3. Minor celeb :-) Haha
  4. oi oi savaloy
  5. http://www.wilwood.com/BrakeKits/BrakeKitsProdFront.aspx?itemno=140-12874 $1700 + shipping + import tax + vat + profit which at a rough guess £1146.59 + £50 + £250 + shipping + dealer profit is gonna put them way up there in the £2000 area, Ap's work out cheaper not sure how comparable they are though.
  6. importing them from the US tends to make em very pricey iirc
  7. No there different, they look similar, Ksport piston seals, D2 pistons/dust seals
  8. Headgasket on a scoob is always full rebuild, you found out why ;)
  9. Used to have crap or none existsant dust seals, d2 seem to get better reviews. For me though godspeeds offer thats on for 6 pot aps for £1250 would be the route to go if I was upgrading, not as cheap as the d2's but ap's are the muts nuts when it comes to brakes.
  10. Version 4 by the looks of it in case anyone asks :)
  11. Looks good, few mods i've spotted with it so far ( in case you didnt know), V3 car, Wheels Face lift front end rear spoiler (v5 rep or possibly P1 spoiler cos of the carbon lip) P1 front lip P1 seats (can tell from the blue on the bottom)
  12. i'll be going down when cars fixed so prob arrange a meet for it, did for first one then car broke and it got called off anyway
  13. hahaha, she gives as good as she takes :D lol
  14. Subaru will wash their hands of it, they stated in 2010 that it was the owners fault for tuning, driving them to hard, not servicing them properly etc etc total bollox but saved em millions in remedial work. 2.5 out the box is !Removed!, very common for pistons break the ring lands , head gaskets to fail etc. If it's gone to API they should be well aware of the issues and put none subaru pistons, gasket and head studs in then no more issues down the line with it :)
  15. Alyn at AS performance has been selling the stuff harvey's developed, well worth the money imo. Spoke to harvey many times on the phone and met him a couple of times. Such a loss to the subaru world :( RIP
  16. Carbon wrap is a bit meh imo, proper carbon ones tend not to be a 100% fit, had a proper seibon one on my M3 and panel gaps wern't great
  17. My mrs would slap me if i dared to suggested a super mini instead of scoob lol
  18. Big concern is how its stored, remember a guy who stored his car for 3 years and left it without proper coolant in it, 3 winters later goes on dyno for mapping, heater matrix is ruptured (not a cheap or easy job) which pee's water all over the interior, that's fixed and then found the headgasket has gone due to the ice splinting pipes lifting the heads. Forresters are hardy beasts, but not gonna be cheap to get back on the road at all, gonna need a full service, prob a set of tyres at least which wont give you much change from £1500. Add in other rubber items that don;t like being stood and its asking for trouble. Can't see it being viable myself
  19. Alot of folks vary on this and 99% of it is opinion, personally i think BC is cheap tat, i remember when they first came out and there was nothing but issues with em. No idea if they are better now but still see people complaining bout them nocking from time to time. Tein super streets are pretty good for road use, dad had racelogic on his which were hard as nails and tbh ****, UK distributor went bust and dad had both rears **** all their fluid out and left hanging dry with no warranty cover when they went. Ended up having Teins fitted and he loves them, alot less harsh and crashy than the the racelogics and got a decent dealer network as well. All things considered alot is down to spring rates on what ever you buy
  20. would do if i had the scoob lol
  21. not worked it out on the type r hahaha my old 400bhp hawk managed 35mpg on a long run though :)
  22. Headgasket = bottom end build as well. It will more than likley cause the bearings to be pinched and they have a high chance of failing after a very short period. 2k is pretty cheap for a full build though. But as said, sounds like he is clueless, where is it?
  23. On the brakes as above. AP's are the daddy's :)
  24. pic above is 08 sti
  25. bearing would have gone long before now so wouldnt worry lol
