  1. Leave it with me, think mrs has rhe cd somewhere to 'backup' :p lol
  2. Get it sorted. police arn't stupid and when you get caught, not if, you'll get hit for driving without insurance, car will be towd, insurance price will skyrocket and you will get a criminal record.
  3. yeah same here
  4. o god,,,,, lol
  5. No mate, 2.5 suffer the issue as opposed to 2.0. headgaskets go when they go, overheating is a sign but on a 2.0 i wouldn't worry about it. compared to the 2.5, 2.0 are pretty solid even in uk and wrx form
  6. bottom end isn't normaly an issue on even 2.5, it's ring land and headgasket. Bottom end can go after headgasket because the water causes pressure in the cylinder which pushes the rod back pinching the bearing and deforming it. Bottom end refresh is always advised by those in the know following headgasket failure due to that
  7. hahaha, yeah, must be another grey type r around somewhere officer,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, lol
  8. yeah possibly. just a simple and cheap to check costing about 20-50p at local garage lol
  9. it's more a case of whats gonna give me the best road car. 2.1 cdb is a couple quid more so in the grand scheme sod all cost difference, is been a choice to go 2.5. Cost would jump up for a cdb 2.5 but for a road car do you really need 500 or is it just pub talk? I had 390 in my hawk and how fast it built speed was amazing, take off 200kg add and extra 50-80bhp and it will go like an absolute rocket.
  10. so, after some contemplation and ongoing discussions decided to change engine options. Origional plan was 2.1 closed deck block, but decided to go down the 2.5 route. Being a road car the low down grunt of the 2.5 will make it alot more responsive and at 450bhp 450+ftlb its gonna make an epic road engine :-)
  11. As long as car was bought legally, money is yours due to it being left in the car when sold :-)
  12. Check your tyre pressures as a start. Friends was under inflated and found steering heavy.
  13. As above, sounds like its been mapped. Can always pop down and see the boys at engine tuner to put it on the dyno and give it a health check. but ppp is roughly 265 at the crank iirc so sounds about right
  14. this recall gets bigger and bigger, must be 50million cars listed to be sorted.
  15. haha, fingers crossed :D
  16. welcome
  17. panel filter unless you plan to have it mapped
  18. If insurance clock it your buggered basicly. Need to get it changed over by the DVLA to read correct, then insure to suit
  19. welcome :)
  20. haha yeah, apparently power isnt the issue now, well too little power isn't. Gearbox is, can't take the power so no point in adding more, upping it to 6 speed would add 40kg which isnt ideal. Replacement parts for the 5 speed on the way so have to see how they cope
  21. no mate, only jgm shootout, His fastest run was 9.2 at 152mph but only ran for half a day cos the gearbox cried enough, given the surface differences looks promising to beat old record though.
  22. yeah and more to come would you believe. Turbo's been changed since that vid and its now up to about 730bhp and turbo isn't maxed yet :o
