  1. As previous it really does depend on finding someone that it is specific to. The WRX part is not worth that much and its a 'standard plate' that will be limited to 2006 cars or newer. People with newer versions might not want their car to appear older. This is an example of a WRX plate open to most WRX owners for £500. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/M3-0-WRX-Private-Number-Plate-On-Retention-Bmw-M3-Subaru-Impreza-Wrx-/291609459825?hash=item43e5473c71:g:894AAOSwFnFWFAtv I think unfortunately you are looking for an 06 WRX owner and a substantially reduced price to get it sold anytime soonish. The KC would need to be relevant too if you are going to get close to £2K.
  2. Stants is right, a decent dry panel filter replacement and retaining the stock feed is probably the best. I use a Ramair foam panel filter. If you fancy trying it, Ive got a used mesh Zero Sports cone filter you can try. Bought it for mine but the bolt pattern is wider on the Leggy. Should bolt straight on to your maf. Not sure on the result though but you'll get some mad induction noise. £25 delivered. Doesn't have the bracket.
  3. Yep, cold times! My Jags just started. You should be able to localise the sound stood in front of it. I have some belt slip spray which does the job for a while.
  4. Yeah sounds like a good starting point, test the waters. Hopefully there is someone down your way who is looking.
  5. Thats really !Removed! news Sam :(. You've not had much luck with it have you! I keep my fingers crossed every morning at the moment that the slight piston slap clears up by the end of the road. Engine light has flickered on a couple of times recently too. You going to break it up or pass on as one piece? On a positive note, a gen 1 leggy sounds cool!
  6. Summer tyres Brand - Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 Size - 225 45 17 Approx Cost - £94 FITTED each Opinions/ pros & cons you've come across, I don't buy tyres with wear rate in mind or noise, just how much grip they will give me for the price. These are about as good as Ive ever had and see a lot of people using them too. Grip in dry is outstanding, hard to unsettle them and consistent in braking phase. Still comfortable even though they might be classed as 'low profile'. Wet grip is good although I don't tend to push the boundaries in those conditions. Ive just swapped these off for Goodyear winter tyres so will give a review later after running them for a bit.
  7. Nice one, sounds like a really good result. Now you have to decide on tyres?
  8. I was planning to put an odd set on, different backs and fronts but couldnt bring myself to do it. I managed to find a pair of wheels that are almost identical to whats on it. They are now my winter fronts and the rears I just had tryes swapped over. I use Event Tyres to do all mine, new or swapping, they come to house or work. It takes all the hassle out of it and they charge £20 per wheel if your swapping.
  9. Same as, I can never see an end point but we love it! Be boring otherwise and what would we spend our money on.
  10. Wow is all I can say about the Saxo lol! Good runner round though. Suppose its good timing with the best driving days of the year behind us.
  11. Really good value! Fingers crossed, let us know.
  12. Should also say I used that specific brand so cant comment on all the other dozens of variants.
  13. Interesting point. I used it on the Leggy not long after having it as coolant was slowly dropping and there was nothing to speak of when the radiator and primary t were swapped recently so not had that issue personally. I can see people chucking in twice the amount thinking, it will do a better job and funnily enough having issues with an engine that may not of been service for years either. If theres any doubt dont do it though!
  14. Put some K-Seal in it first off and see if you get a result. I have personally used this on 2 occasions with success. If it doesnt work, you haven't lost much. I will work its way round the whole system. Also check the hoses around the area. It could be a tiny pinhole spraying barely noticeably, had that on too :( Some things to start with anyway.
  15. Any Impreza 5x100 stud pattern should fit.
  16. Pop a picture of your key and fob up.
  17. Classic is not wrong but an offset of 48-50 might see a better fit if your thinking of a new set? Suppose you could use a smallish spacer to get there.
  18. Sounds like it!! You may have pulled an earth off. Mine went mental when I accidentally pulled one off round the back coming from the gearbox to somewhere, something to do with the sender. Never found where it was meant to go so just bolted up on chassis behind the secondary t. Good luck.
  19. Id have a BH5 with a tree on. Is it too late now?
  20. See how you get on with the seals. Speak to Turbo Dynamics if you haven't. Ive got my VF26 that I replaced with a VF25 if its any use. We are sure there was nothing actually wrong with it as it was still puffing on over run on ramps with new one. Mustve been the additive I put in causing it as its been fine since fresh oil.
  21. Both of them, all of a sudden? Why no rebuild? Yours runs different versions to mine doesn't it?
  22. Do it tomo, you can get a half decent one to do the job for around £40 off ebay. Thats all Ive got.
  23. Not happy at all!! I fly out to Spain on the 9th. I suggested moving the flight to Monday and got back "Illl be flying on Saturday with or without you" Gutted
  24. £44! Is it worth it?
