  1. I may be down for this, would be interesting on seeing how much mine puts out although thres a dyno at japshow, Don't even know whats happening next week let alone october, towards the end of oct begining of nov would be better for me
  2. Hello welcome, have you looked at any imports ? Generally the shells are in better condition.as they haven't been exposed to as many salty winters, obviously a good underseal is a must, they cost a little more to insure but come with a few more goodies and slightly more power. The rust is a pain but if your coming from mk1 mx5 ownership least you shouldn't have to worry about the sills, As for the fans on the car could be down to a loose wire or could be something more sinister, did any of the fans kick in at any point on he test drive ? As for a headliner missing it's a bit odd, has the car had a roll cage in at some point ? Loads of cars being broken so picking up a replacement shouldn't be too hard
  3. Done anecu eeset? Just unplug the battery for half hour and press the brake pedal for thirty seconds to discharge any electrical current, what fuel do you use ? Did you ever getround to cleaning the idle valve ?
  4. Made it's way ip ftom the depths of Grimsby arrgh ! I take it thats a cv boot or whats left of one ?
  5. What kind of gain do you get with those mate ? Is it more based towards mpg/ economy or torque & performance? Often thought about them for our vans
  6. Yes 4 wheel alignment will be fine , I've just used chap who although he doesn't have the latest kit but he knows what he's doing his 4 wheel alignment does camber caster and toe etc charged the the grand total of 40 quid as long as you get someone who knows how to use the kit you'll be fine, Kwik fit near me have a hunter but they cant use it properly and they'll charge a ton for the privilege
  7. 50 quid for m.o.t max, did they3y charge a re test fee on top ?
  8. Or no honk in that case ! Still a cheap fix at least, is it dead or not loud enough ?
  9. Haha well, I've not used my tent for three years and in that time I've lent it out so god knows what state it will be in when I put it back up, I do however havr a kettle 3 ring gas stove and all the trappings for a good breakfast. Not sure if gas burners are allowed on site ? Only mentions no open fires. Eithet way I'll camp if theres a few of us if not I'll just meet you two in Sheffield on the sunday.
  10. I'll speak to ash & nick see what their plans are
  11. Useful things tow bars ! I imagine the bar would have spread the load evenly so there may not be any structural damage, I wrote off an a class merc when some idiot student decided to try and park her car on the end of mine :-D van wasn't even damaged
  12. Report him for failing to stop at scene ! What a Knobber like you're not going to know that you've been hit.
  13. If it's to buy you a travel kettle im out ! No worries do you have any idea of when pennies will need to be paid ? Need an idea how many people are camping or not, my decision hinges on this lol
  14. South east I think he'll come to you and do live map or you can take it to one of the rolling roads he uses and do a static run Ash has just has his impreza mapped by him in nottingham on thursday
  15. Hello, sorrycan't really help much here as never had an auto, not sure what over filling would do so it may be worth draining a bit out 1st see of it helps.
  16. Simon at jolly green monster should be able to remap for you drop him an email
  17. Haha that looks like the etap here, ghetto who doesn't put a kettle in a room? You make your lass sleep up top ?
  18. Yeah mate I'm still waiting to get my hands on the cash, then start negotiations with the misses :O
  19. Excellent news mate ! Glad it went well and slightly better than expected dyno results
  20. Have a look at www.importcarparts.co.uk for bolt and gasket prices, theres many to choose from depending so that will give you an idea, I'd say a day to strip down and rebuild all being well also depends if theyremove the motor, (ideal world where your mechanic can just work on yours) if I'm wrong I'm sure somome will correct me, Head skimming cost me £ 25.00 last time I had one done, not sure about this but you may not be able to have the head skimmed again. And you'll have to taKe into account theres a pair of heads on a subaru so the other side may need to be done as not to effect the compression, again I may be wrong. I know of a forester being done at the mo, he's not expecting much change from £900
  21. Get it booked hopefully we'll be in time for the hardstandings and won't be getting wet feet on the grass
  22. Whats the deal, is the show over two days or just the sunday ? I have looked at site but only briefly, If just sunday is the idea to get there sat afternoon set up stands then campsite ? Whats the plan for camping? At the pod or billing aqaudrome, So many random questions :-D
  23. I don't have a problem with this but its not my call Whats he drive ?
  24. Excellent news [emoji3]
  25. Boo, saying that you'd need a sit down after hearing the price of a major service for a main dealer, may be worth having a look online for someone who knows their onions, my local one's an 80mile round trip but worth it for the expertise, I wss in same position hardly any histiory etc so had cambelt and all pulleys & tensioners done along with a major service
