Not sure if theres a major chain one close but theres some pubs that do b&b near plus some small hotels in rippon. I'm up thst way on weds I'll keep me eye out. Sent from my SM-T210 using Tapatalk
  3. Take some pics and a brief run through would be good. I'm looking at changing the little pad thing thats in there somewhere it's supposedly the cause of the scratches on the window. I'd like to see whats what before taking the door card off. I take it the mechanism is a scisor action as opposed to cables? Sent from my SM-T210 using Tapatalk
  4. Another thumbs up for martin, it's a 70 mile round trip for me but I'd not take her anywhere else just because of the service I received from him even before I was a paying customer with his help over the phone just after I purchased the car Sent from my SM-T210 using Tapatalk
  5. There should be a fwd light on the dash if the fuse has gone, hope replacing the fuse solves the problem Sent from my SM-T210 using Tapatalk
  6. Discovery channel, it's a good laugh, the guy who owns the garage seems to have chilled out a bit, couldn't work out where I'd seen him before he did the gumball from LA to miami and he looked like a stereotypical american Sent from my SM-T210 using Tapatalk

I cant find the sticky thread re tapatalk, anyway thought I'd try it on the tablet, so downloaded all good but when I go into the oc bit it keeps showing me blank pages, can I see the whole of the forum or just the stuff I'm subscribed to ? Help please
  9. Yep. Thats the same as what i used last time. A a pair of marigolds wouldn't go be a bad idea either. Have fun !
  10. The rear one ? Shouldn't have to but i've not worked on the subaru diff. Normally have a fill up hole and drain hole on the rearward facing case. Don't forget to undo the fill hole nut first. Wouldn't want to empty it and find out the fill nut has seized :-( One of the little hand held syringe type guns from a motor factors should be good enough to fill it. They normally just fill to below the fill hole and thats it. No pressurisation needed. (Hopefully somone with some more tech knowledge of scoobies will be along in a min
  11. How much would you like to spend ? Can just buy new springs for a little, to a full set of shocks with new springs, adjustable top mounts etc
  12. I'm guessing something like a 75-90w gear oil. If you go on the opie oils site you can go on the oil/car selector it will tell you the best fluids to use for model/year :-D
  13. If you don't want to chop the loom could use one of these piggy back fused spur, anyone of the fuses will be live when on. Mines attached to a perm live fuse though. For the ignition live wire i found a spare green wire under the dash that had a spade connector on it it was gathered up and had never been used, for an accessory on options list maybe ? Just chopped it and wired into that. Finally do you have the front fogs fitted with the 3 switches above the fuse box on the dash ? Just wire it into the live side. Anyway hope this helps :-)

Onl 40mins from me ill say provisional yes i'm in :-D
  15. How warm were the oils ? Mine makes horrible noises 1st thing when i come out of my drive (steep slope)
  16. I've got a gauge wired into some stuff under the dash so i'll take a look for you tomorrow during daylight :-D
  17. At least the turbo didn't decide to take anything with it on it's death. Hopefully will be the end of the problems, :-) I think people try and do an at home service and end up out of their depth. If you know your way around subarus it's not a problem, but for people just used to doing an oil and plug service on their drive can be a bit daunting, How did yiu clean the coils ? Just take off and clean or is there a more thorough way Cheers Mine went for a major service as soon as i bought her, mechanic said the box oils haddn't been done for a long time and whoever changed the plugs gave up in the rears as they were worn down so far it's a wonder it sparked.
  18. Haha cheers i'm on the phone so can't see them properly. Thought there was some more impreza bias going on again :-D
  19. I think the thing that throws it is the name of the reatil park haha. I've you've never been past medowhall you wouldn't know it was there. Never mind we've got some things in mind for the next w yorks meet and a few more ideas in the pipeline, Typically i missed out on the photos again ! Gonna have to statt bribimg people to get in the shots hahaha
  20. Really sorry mate, i'll pm you me number next time. Phone had limited battery. Did you come down in th subaru?
  21. Sorry mate i was en route when you mailed. But late now but theres a few her
  22. I'm gonna aim to get there but may not be till about 8 at earliest
  23. I'm sure someone should be able to answer that, i've not done it on the subaru so wouldn't like to say. I guess access will be the biggest thing as they are usually located fairly close to the otherside of the bulkhead somewhere on the transmission tunnel, being 4wd i'm not sure what else may be in the way
