  2. Random question, does anyone have access to a zafira ? I was wondering if they can do me a favour. I've come into possession of a retractable luggage cover/parcel shelf I think it's from a zafira but unsure of year. Need help on I.d of said cover. So if anyone can measure the length and with of theirs that would be grand
  3. Or she just likes watching you clean her car :-D
  4. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=L11UQk7G23U Dunno if this is the same as yours ?
  5. Not good mate :-( Surely if the seller said they were in good working order and they are not you can claim back through the bay ?
  6. Last of the big spenders this month, New clutch & break pedal rubbers ordered
  7. http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/topic/1619-help-check-guide-buying-1st-subaru/?view=getnewpost Have a read through this thread covers most things,do you know anyone that has experience with subaru's see if you can drag them along. :-D
  8. I've got all the kit. I use the b&h auto clay works brilliantly with loads of water. It's time I haven't got a lot of at the mo. 9mth old baby and a wife to be that doesn't drive consumes the rest of my spare time :'( Tom you camping again ? :-D
  9. Hello, High milage isn't a problem quiet a few of us here are on 100k plus. As long as they are serviced regularly every 5k they should last for ages. Not sure avout servucing for n/a cars but I'm sure it will prob be around the same intervals.
  10. Haha you should see mine, form distance looks ok up close I', m so ashamed, just need to find a day where I can attack her
  11. Looks great in either colour ! Good work did you do both today ? Virtual pint for you sir
  12. Yep : ) Had old owners club go along for a day and set up the geometry for mx5 about 3 years ago, good day out and they certainly know their onions, Jonny, did you go for a basic set up or did you ask for anything specific ?
  13. Maybe disconnect the battery for half hour and then go for a run that way the ecu should re set it's self. Good luck with fitting can be a right nightmare
  14. Hello & welcome, as for the impreza I'm sure one of our owners will be along to help out, have a look in the buying guide for things to look out for, Main differences between an 04 and an 06 car will be the running costs, more specifically 06 cars fall into the new high level tax bracket 450+ where as the 04 car will be 280ish I think, general running won't be much different, as for the two examples you've picked the 1st one would need a friendly mot tester to get it through each year due to having no cat. In some cases having modifications will bring the insurance down as the company sees that your an enthusiast and takes care and has put money into it and not a complete numpty, if you did decide to get one thats has had some stuff done ask to see receipts just dont take somones word for it that it has millions of horespower,
  15. Hi mate as for reading the codes it's quite straight forward have a look at this http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/topic/2366-manually-reading-ecu-codes/ the erratic idle could be one of many things, clogged up idle control valve, loose hose somewhere which would be letting sir out and affecting the mix, easiest thing would be to read the codes see what comes up, then with the engine running check all the hose clamps and vacuum lines for splits or leaks, esay way to do this is with a spray bottle of soapy water spray onto the hoses and any leaks will show them selves, the miss fire could be down to a leak but woul probibaly need a more indepth investagation if it's just been serviced
  16. Aorry to hear that, is the car just not running very well ? As for the filter I'd leave it in lace as feom what I've heard they are a pain to remove . 90% of impreza parts so might be worth cross referencing the codes
  17. Hello, Is it the one under the dash in passenger footwell ? I'm sure one of the newer owners will be along to help
  18. Wheels in motion are really good, bit of a trek round the m25 for you but worth a visit if your not confident with local places. They have a hunter system there for alignment
  19. I get it really bad when I set off my drive is at about 20% gradient once im up and at the top of the street it's gone away. I guess it's jut due to the clutch/diffs being stone cold it does feel like you've stalled it sometimes with the vibrations I wouldn't worry mate. Don't think a replacment clutch would help
  20. Gutted about the caliper still an excuse for the upgrade ! Good news about the discs and pads being the same, I thought they were and was half thinking about changing them myself but just dont have the time, cars in for a few other bits doing next month so for the costing difference in an hours labour I'm payong someone else. Are you on standard 16" rims ? Not sure the 4 pots will clear the wheels :'(
  21. Don't suppose you have the black plastic covers that hide the seat mounting points if that makes sense ? Need both drivers and passenger side please
  22. Hi, I'm from pudsey too, I'll give you a wave if I see you around
