  1. They are a fair bit more, at the end of the day just go oem ones as they'll last a good few years
  2. Hi mate, did he say which ones needed replacing ? If I was you I'd pay some one to do it fo you 1, because it's a pain in the !Removed! 2, it's more of a pain in the !Removed! than you even though it would be when you reached the end of the 1st step. They'll need pressing out and pressing back in. If it's the wishbone arms you'll need to get the car on jacks or a lift remove all the associated itens and replace. The bush sits between a peice of metal and a joining pin, so your suspension arms and anti roll bars will have a rubber bush at the end where the bolt goes into the subframe the bolt gose through he middle of the bush holding everything together alowing the arm to move freely up and down but cushioning at the same time Powerflex are polyurethane so last a lot longer than standard bushes but do compromise the ride making it harsher, but you do get better handling. Hardly noticeable really unless your on track. So you need to weigh up the pros & cons between them and oem ones. And value for money and what you want the car to do.
  3. Agreed mate looks good, having the same problem as david at the mo, I love my car but want another one :-D Wonder if running two scoobs would be as financialy ruinous as I have a feelng it may. After all the misses needs a car. On another not was hoping to get the subaru select stuff up and running today but amazon couldn't work out how to post a usb cable through my letterbox, better luck tomorrow
  4. Never looked into it. You may need to convert the entry point the 04 is straight entry and the 05 is a 90degree one if I remember Have you thought about a td04 hybrid ? Good for 300ish same spool time as yours and no modification required
  5. Ring do some super bright versions of there h4/5 halogens that are pretty bright not sure about the indicators as I've never used them Try this site www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk
  6. Gibe simon @jgm a call or message him on here he'll tell you exactly what you'll need to hit 300 Do you not already have a stanard td05 on your car ? Shouldn't be too hard to acheive :-D
  7. Gotta love a struggle cuddle :O Good pics gem just picked up a 32gig card for my phone so no excuses next time
  8. Downloaded this http://freessm.software.informer.com/ ordered this http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/s/ref=is_box_?k=USB+OBD-II-2+KKL+409.1+OBD2+Cable+VAG-COM+for+VW%2FAUDI++ Should arrive tomorrow so hopefully I'll finally be able to have more diagnostic information than just the flashing light :-D
  9. The zipper extreme mini looks like it could be painful ! To be fair unless your a pornstar who's gonna wear them
  10. It does help being a couple inches higher than everyone else ! I prefer the more direct route :-D
  11. Yo ! As for topping up fluids everything that needs attention will have a yellow cap on, so starting at left rear of the engine bay as you look at it you have your brake fulid resivior. Theres a nin and max line on all of the bottles. You may need a torch to see. & make sure you clean the yellow caps before removing as you don't want to get !Removed! in there. So have a look at the resivior and see if it needs anything. If so you need dot5.1 brake fluid. Top up to max line. Next is the clutch resivior should be a little further right and at the very back. Again check levels top up if required. You should be able to use the brake fluids for this too. Moving towards the right hand side you and at the front bleow the dipstick is the radiator expansion bottle this should again be half full when the car is cold. As for the intercooler bottle I'm not sure as I don't have a model wih the I/c sprayer I'm guessing that it will be at the back somewhere and look like a washer bottle As for a service pack I would assume it's a small one after the major so engine oil and filters. I'm sure aome of the newage onwers will be along to advise :-D
  12. http://www.subaruforester.org/vbulletin/f85/official-auxiliary-lighting-thread-838/ Good for some ideas
  13. Ah well at least you are getting there ! Thanks for the offer idealy I want something I van plug in and gather loads of info from I stead of just using the green & black plugs. Looks like up to 96 haf the nine pin yellow plug next to the pair of diagnostic ones. Still I came across an opensource version of yhe subaru select management suite awhile back but din't know much about it so did a little more digging today and am in the process of downloading it to my laptop and have ordered a cable that should work. Will keep you posted :-D
  14. I doubt theres a specific mounting for them easiest way to tell is pop the grill off but be carefull as there are hidden clips. Not sure if there are sepcific kits either. There are quite a few us owners that have the lamps on. Maybe check out forester.org as it mainly caters for our friends on the other side of the pond. 'Ll have a dig around after dinner see what I can find too
  15. Alright mate, just check all your hoses for splits or if they have come loose. Even if it's one at the intake side it will have a knock on effect. The ones around the turbo actuator (circular) shaped peice on top of the turbo shold have a t peice someomewhere underneath one should go to the boost solenoid attached to the top of the strut tower on the drivers side. One goes to the top of the manifold. Obviously check the intercooler hoses are on tight. Do you have an aftermarket dump valve on ? Sorry I'm at work and dont have a pictuee to hand gambit may be along in a bit with some diagrams Could always try pulling the battery and resetting the ecu.
  16. http://www.subarupartsstore.co.uk/product/Roof_Spoiler_E721ESA000 Or try a breakers yard of you don't want to pay dealer prices
  17. The little box next to he airbox with the wires coming from it is where the mass air flow sensor lives. Known to be a weak spot on subarus and if your having an induction kit put on it will be even more prone to dying. Not trying to scare you here, but your mapper will be able to use his wizardry and eliminate the need to use it thus saving you some pennies in the long run
  18. Get the maf mapped out save you time and money for when it breaks :-)
  19. Hi mate, how you geting on with the car ? With regards to the nine pin plug where is it located & what year is your car ? My lead has arrived but it doesn't work to be honest I wasn't expecting it to as I have an odb style port on my97 car. But no odb it only has nine pins though so was thinking about changing it to a different block. I think mine uses an Techtom MDM-100 reader or somthing similar to read the subaru select management software. To be honest it's doing my head in hahaha
  20. I presume youd have to buy a new downpipe, my understanding is that instead of the wastegate dumping all the excess into the downpipe it vents it externally ? Hence the two pipes on the downpipe, i think somome said they aren't strictly legal as they are a vent to atmosphere device. Still sound good though :-D
  21. Cheers mate, yours is in a different place to mine, yours being newer. Mines located on the back of the inlet to the right as you look at it. It's in for a service friday so I'll ask then
  22. Hello, wouldn't like to say you'd assume so due to keeping costs down during manufacturing. But you never know. Maybe give your local subaru dealer a call and get some part numbers then cross reference the two. Or give a breaker with subaru experience a call
