They should fit, but without seeing the car &parts I wouldn't like to say, I presume the hubs are the same ie have carrier bolt holes in the same place, Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

Yes just rip it out if you want, there's a pair of cats in the exhaust which muffle alot of the sound, removal of these will give you all the noise ! Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

Forester - 53 Reg - smells of fuel outside the car
stants replied to effsweet's topic in Subaru Forester Club
It will be obvious, here's mine with the guard removed you can see it's in a sorry state very rusty, but wasn't leaking at the time. As sandals says it may be the tank gasket that's perishing or a slight weapy line If you do remove the inspection hatch & tank lid be gentle when doing it back up Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk -
You'll be able to pick up one form a breakers for under 500 I suspect, is yours a 5 or 6 speed ? Where abouts are you located ? There are a few gearbox specialist who will rebuild them may be a bit cheaper than a 2nd hand one Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

I'm in Leeds mate Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk -
Mine went in for its 20k service and they just applied the update, it's basically an ecu reflash, from what I can see, it only opens the drivers door with the remote and key, and nothing else you have to use the button in cab to open the other doors, as if you were to have the global lock/unlock as the rest of them are permanently deadlocked, weather It stops the screwdriver molegrip method I don't know as I didn't fancy trying it out but if they are all deadlocked it should do, Also update added lights off with ignition off which is nice [emoji23] Mines garages at night/weekends but moving to a new premises at the end of the week where it's going to be outside so I'll let you know if anything happens to the doors or the cat Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

The filler neck is prone to rusting out over time, there's a black plastic cover that doesn't really cover much and acts as a dirt trap, Easiest thing to do is remove the rear wheel, and have a look, replacement necks are available, bit of a pain in the rear end to do, I had a pic somewhere I'll see if I can dog it out Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk -
The front diff is integrated into the gearbox, So it's either pull the lot apart or source a replacement box I'm afraid Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

I'm booked on a ferry in Aug with the focus, will have to see how much it's gonna cost to amend a ticket & add another couple of feet onto the size of vehicle before pulling the trigger [emoji44] Failing that I'm hoping to have a change of vehicle by the end of the year [emoji23] Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

Also been perusing the classified for auto legacies due to the misses giving up driving on the ford as 'she's more comfortable with no gears If she'd told me that she actually had no intention of driving when the foz died I'd have had one by now [emoji34] Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

Gutted for you mate right set of !Removed! ! You not had the security update from ford ? Mine went in a couple of months ago to stop this problem apparently, Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

90% of impreza parts will bolt straight up a remap and a few upgrades will see you with more power torque and better mpg all depends on how long your looking at keeping & investing in it Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

Forester D XSN 2009 Spares or Repair crank snapped.

If you have the time and room I'd break it, you'll easily make 2k off that in bits and that would selling everything cheap, People want the most obscure parts so well worth it if you can, Mine died last year and managed to pull near enough 2.5k in bits out of my sf forester and am still selling the odd part a year down the line Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk -

It will get under your skin and will quickly be elevated to just more than a camping car, the ability to take the **** out of the usual suspects never gets old [emoji23] Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

Subaru do a group n bush kit for the back end https://www.importcarparts.co.uk/parts-info?id=10981&cat=96&sub=3479&sec=0&var=0&dc=&gen=&searchKey=&searchPart= ,they will.be harder than oem rubber but not as hard as Polly bushes would be, That's the route I was going to go down before she went pop Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

Neil at slowboy knows his onions and personally I never had a problem with my map dine by Duncan @racedynamix But everyone has thier own experiences & opinions on mappers and you can open up a massive can of worms, My advice would be to contact the various mappers with your needs and take it from there Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

It will affect both the performance and health of the engine, If it's dumping air out that the ecu has factored in it will poloiisbly runing lean then over compensating and chucking more fuel into the mix to correct. Either get it mapped in or go back to stock 🖒 Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

Who's it made by ? Dei alarms ? Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

Do you have the alarm manual David? There should be a small valet push button you can use to put in a code (if manual has it in there) and you'll be able to dussarm the system etc Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

Good luck with that, subaru UK aren't the most helpful when it comes to imports In my experience Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

Tax will be a bit less@ 235 a year I think, (what I was paying last year) As@tidgy says not cheap to run but if your used to bm's prob not much difference, Always find a specialist to work on the car as bills will be at least half of what subaru UK charge, Ball park figures 350-400 cambelt & associated items About the same for a clutch depending on how much power you want it to take, If it's not already been done then a remap for UK fuels is highly recommended Anywhere between 350- (open-source) to 700 & mpre for licenced software could go even more depending on what you want from the car The internet's your friend for parts again, shocks may need replacing at that age but pedders/kyb and others make good reasonably priced replacements, and again 90% of impreza parts from the same model year fit the foz, which is always handy Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

400 all in seems more reasonable, Ask if the flywheel is getting a skim & if that includes a spigot bearing, may be worth getting a rear main oil seal on standby too, of its looking tired or weaping would be better to change it rather than have to do the entire job again Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
