So a few months ago i posted my problem about rough idle basically when the engine is to temperature the car will randomly rev itself up anywhere between 1000-2000rpm only for a second then drop back down or sometimes even to the point where it sounds like it could stall.   3. Hi guys, As part of the general work on my project GC8 (thread below) - I'm trying to resolve an issue the car seems to have at idle. Essentially, it runs beautifully from cold, and when driven (any throttle application improves the situation). However when warmed up, the idle will drop to the point when it's struggling to run.   4. Hi, my 93 WRX import has been running a rough idle and hesitation for a while now without any engine light coming on. Last week the engine light finally triggered and using the connectors under the dash I managed to get code 22 out of it which I believe is the knock sensor. I took the old sensor out and it has 2 or 3 cracks through the plastic so I can safely assume its pretty terminal. Over the weekend I picked up a 2nd hand knock sensor from a Subaru breakers as I wanted to try and get the job done yesterday.
